Hello! EMO PSA😇

So as you know, Instagram, social media, all these things are highlights to showcase the best of what’s happening in our lives.

We’re not programmed to really share the downsides of what life’s about because we’re labeled as something’s off and wrong with us - and we typically strive for people around us thinking it’s all peachy.

The reality is that for all of us on this planet, it’s not always peachy. We all have a mountain of problems and difficult things we’re dealing with, and for me, it’s been a very difficult year. Probably one of the most difficult yet.

The flip side of this, is all of us, we all have something we can be grateful for too. The DR really taught me this, I met so many people who have nothing over there, but continue to wake up every day with a full heart, ready to start their day with a big smile! They do this because they find the things to say thank you to the higher power or whatever it is they believe in. That keeps you going and gives you strength to get through the difficult times, as well as the difficult people that come into your life trying to take whatever they can from you for their own benefit.

I’m here to say thank you to all of the wonderful things in my life, but also, thank you to all of those who keep challenging me to get stronger and stronger every year.

I’m super proud of who I am, the kind generous heart I have, the bright optimistic way I look at the world, the love I have to give to strangers and the faith I have in humanity. I’ll never let anyone take that from me, and if you’re going through something too, never let anyone take that from you either 🥰

What a burn this year!! Best one yet 🤩

As a human, we’re born learning by playing and being a kid. Adulthood happens and for some reason, we’re not supposed to play or be a kid anymore - but it’s silly because inside we all still have that inner child that wants to be free to be who they are and have fun.

The burn lets us do exactly that. We can be fairies, goblins, rockstars, carrots, anything we want - and we can climb things, play games, dance until sunrise and really be kind to one another.

There’s a reason why so many people go to the hot desert once a year and I really believe this is why. We get to just be who we are for once without all the judgement and social norms.

I’m so excited to share more about this burn - I really had fun with dressing up this year, and I have some special reasons and news as to why.

More to come! I’ve been hard at work behind the scenes….and I’ve also decided to spend a lot more time in LA this year!

What a magical day! In my 15+ years of working events, I’ve never had such a beautiful adventure doing a site visit. It was such a special day, with zip lining, ATV, nature exploration and making new friends 🐴

Weeeeeeeeee these past couple of months have been a lot of travel but it’s been a lot of fun, and I got to see so many peeps I love in the process.

Being able to DJ the pride parade with my friends from the EU Delegation, Belgium and Tomorrowland was an absolute honor, and I had the BEST dance team to support me :) I’ll be posting about them mañana.

Now it’s time to board a plane back to my 🐶 🥰

It’s taken a long time, many years and lots of work to be able to feel good in my own skin!

It’s been a journey. For what seems like forever, I’ve felt not good enough, not pretty enough, not cool enough, not doing enough in my life, etc -

But I finally got to the point where I understand

I AM ENOUGH

I’m actually more than enough, a badass, an amazing human being and although I still feel average in appearance, for me it’s not such a priority anymore. I don’t need to be drop dead gorgeous, I just want to be a good human. And I can say that I am an amazing human with 10000% confidence. 😊

I know this is random, but I felt like putting this out there because I see so many others in this industry struggling with this.

The music and entertainment industry can make the journey to love yourself a lot harder than others. It can prioritize wealth, fame, beauty over talent and ethics - and can sometimes make people feel small, or not enough -

But it’s unrealistic expectations, even for those up there in lights. No one can live up to that. The reality is, we are all enough. And if we have our health, a purpose, growth, a moral backbone and we are doing some good in this world, we are even more than enough. If we wake up every day counting those blessings, we will see this more and more every day.
