Constantly inspired by the incredible work of other designers when creating event installations, the “Amazing Walk” from the 2024 Milan Design Week is no exception.

Drawn from the visionary minds of MAD Architects and Amazon, the ‘Amazing Walk’ installation, showcased at the University of Milan, redefines the interface between the man-made and the natural in a truly surreal fashion. Comprising hundreds of triangular elements, the structure stands tall at 7.5 meters, mirroring the majestic stature of mountains, all without the need for internal columns.

This awe-inspiring creation encourages visitors to immerse themselves fully in their surroundings, fostering engagement with one another and igniting the spark of imagination within each visitor. The Lasvit Design installation was no exception.

Renowned for their mastery of hand-made glassmaking, Lasvit set out to revolutionize the connection between glass and architecture with this display.

Inspired by its fluidity and grace, guests are encouraged to unwind, rejuvenate, and expand their horizons, mirroring the dynamic flow of the material itself. An incredible piece at an event that celebrates expert design.

In its 77th year, the 2024 Cannes Film Festival showcased a stunning blend of cinematic brilliance and high fashion. Themed “Reimagining Horizons,” this year’s event celebrated innovative storytelling and artistic visuals. Attendees embraced a dress code of “Futuristic Elegance,” which brought forward avant-garde styles and bold, modern designs.

The festival not only premiered remarkable films like Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” and Andrea Arnold’s “Bird,” but it also set trends for future events with its use of digital installations and interactive exhibits. Greta Gerwig made history as the first American female director to lead the Feature Film Jury, highlighting the festival’s ongoing commitment to diversity and innovation 📽🎞

Looking ahead, we can expect these elements of immersive technology and creative theming to influence other major events, setting new standards for elegance and experiential design. We are thrilled to announce that our work on the 2023 Library of Congress National Book Festival has been recognized with five Telly Awards! Specifically, the MainStage performance from Elliot Page on His Memoir “Pageboy.”

Our team received a Gold Telly in Social Responsibility and 4 Silver Tellys in Biography, DEI: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Museums & Galleries, and Social Issues for the General Non-Broadcast category.

For those that don’t know, a Telly Award is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens. This year is the 45th annual awards and they received over 13,000 submissions.

There were so many teams and individuals that contributed to making this session spectacular. Thanks especially to the Library of Congress and their outstanding Literature team that developed the theme and brought the talent together as well as their Events team that put this into motion. Also a huge congrats to the stage participants Gina Chua and of course, Elliot Page.

Building out this venue over 7 city blocks for events from the Capital to the Monument was an incredible experience. Many clients assume that you can no longer host events on the National Mall.
