For the Island Fair this year, we brought back the Potato Queen! Celebrating the 175th Anniversary of Washington Island, we were proud to crown Cathy Patel as the 2025 Potato Queen, in honor of the previous Queen, Ardis Hanson, last crowned in 1964 (or 1965). The Potato Prince, Colton Steffen, and his sister the Potato Princess, Dakota, threw potato chips to the crowds as our Queen waved to the wonderful crowd who came out for today's fair. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our hardworking Lion's Club who hosts this event each year!

We still have space available for cars at Trunk-or-Treat! Message us or contact Mary Patel directly to join in the fun. Don't forget to submit your pumpkin, starting tomorrow (Wed Oct. 30) for the WI Community Center's Pumpkin Carving Contest! Come place it on our sign up front and show off your pumpkin and possibly win a prize! Judging will be announced at the end of Trunk-or-Treat!

We laid in the grass, took photos for hours, and struggled to pick our favorites, so we could share our spectacular view at The Old Potato Farm tonight. Clouds or not, it was an awe inspiring view with such magnificent colors. We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed taking them.
