DUTIES
- Verify identification and age requirements of customers
- Mix traditional and creative cocktails
- Process payment from customers
- Clean glasses and bar utensils
- Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
- Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
- Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
- Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
- Taking inventory and reordering supplies
- Assist with club events and parties

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bartending experience required; needs to have a competent knowledge of different types of beer, wine and spirits and their service
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to walk, stand, carry heavy items, work outdoors in the summer, work in face-paced environment

REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to make and serve beverages
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
- Push, Pull, and Lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work with team that works different days/times of the week.

Job description

We are looking for a courteous and professional banquet bartenders to be responsible for greeting, assisting, and bartending for guests at special functions and events. This position will help assist with bartending, preparation, clean up, serve guests, and respond to questions and requests.

To be successful, you should possess excellent customer service and communication skills. You should be professional, polite to guests, and an efficient bartender. You should be reliable and on-time for all shifts.

Responsibilities:

Greeting guests as they enter a venue and help ensure a great experience at the event.
Seeing to the comfort of guests through answering questions, taking bar orders, and serving beverages.
Assisting with event preparation, set up, and closing, including setting up and packing away tables, table cloths and place settings, and buffets, preparing drinks, stocking and replenishing bar and cleaning and bussing throughout the event.
Supporting other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Adhering to safety and quality regulations.
Requirements:

A High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience as a bartender is preferred.
Courteous and attentive to guests.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, staying on your feet, climbing stairs, carrying heavyweights.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
Event experience a plus!
Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Scheduling will depend on event schedule.

Elijah McLean's Event Venue & Inn is a growing event venue and inn located in the heart of Downtown Washington, Mo. We host a variety of events, showers, parties, corporate gatherings, and weddings.

Key Responsibilities
-Assist the Director of Sales and Events in any and all event coordination duties including logistical and administrative support.

-Help to coordinate a variety of events ranging from small corporate functions, parties, and showers to large weddings.

-Help with planning, meetings, and showings for potential clients and vendors, answering questions (in person, via phone, text, and email).

-Experience with POS System's is a plus but we can provide training. Will be responsible for printing out and settling up final bill with client after event.

-File paperwork and complete various clerical tasks to assist in day to day organization and planning.

-Oversee event staff (bartenders, servers, & coordinate with other vendors) to ensure smooth ex*****on of all events.

-Perform inventory as needed on supplies, alcohol, linens, etc.

-Help solve problems as they arise to keep event running smoothly and seamlessly for all guests.

-Communicate and coordinate with outside caterers, photographers, Dj's, bands, florists, outside event decorators and other vendors while representing venue and ensuring successful event for clients.

-Event day duties including but not limited to showing guests to tables, helping keep venue "show" ready, set-up and resetting tables, chairs, bar, decor.
Requirements
-Must be able to lift 50 lbs and able to assist with event setup including moving tables, chairs, linens, decor, alcohol, etc.

-Must posses excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, creativity, problem solving skills, and great multi-tasking abilities.

-Must be professional and able to communicate clearly with guests, hosts, vendors, and other staff.

-Must posses a positive attitude, sense of urgency and initiative.

-Bartending experience is a plus!

-Energetic personality and flexibility with scheduling is a must.

-Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team!
Essential Requirements

-Degree preferred but not required.

-High School Diploma is required.

-Project management skills

-Must be proficient in use of basic computer platforms (Emailing, use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other tech platforms).

-Event experience strongly preferred.

-Reliable transportation.
