American Legion Cape Horn Post 122 Cape Horn American Legion Post 122 - Community Organization dedicated to supporting our veterans. Post 122 is really something special. They’re right.

We are not the biggest Post there is. We don’t have the panoramic views that Post 163 in Friday Harbor have…or their museum. We don’t have the free rodeo seats through the picture windows at the Ellensburg Post. What we do have is a great group of members. Visitors always compliment us on our beautiful location, the deer browsing in the yard and the scenic ride up the river. The flattery most appr

eciated is when they tell us what a great group of people we‘ve managed to put together here. We’ve been praised as a “Model Legion Post” and been selected as the Fifth District Post of the Year. If you are in need of speaking with the Post Service Officer for help with your initial VA claim, death benefits or financial hardship, please call 360-837-2006 from Monday-Thursday from 0800-1800. Or leave a message at that number at any time, and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

This last week we prepped for our Ted Fuller Christmas Assistance Program that provides food baskets to those in need in our area. Yesterday we delivered to 55 families. We would like to thank Stuff The Bus, Cape Horn Sky, Canyon Creek Middle School, Grocery Outlet, Franz Bakeries, Washougal River Mercantile, and all community members that donated. Also thank you to all of our volunteers that filled the boxes and helped us with delivery’s yesterday.

We would like to thank Cape Horn Sky and Washougal High School for their help in getting food donations from the community for the Stuff The Bus donations. Washougal High School students and staff delivered the donations to the post yesterday. These items along with others will all go into care packages next week for our Ted Fuller Christmas Assistance Program that will help over 50 families in the area that are in need.
