To kick things off, Icelandic kids try to s***k their parents with a wooden stick (with a paper decoration on one end), yelling “bolla, bolla, bolla!” (“bun, bun, bun!”) as they go. ⁠

In return, they're rewarded with choux pastries, stuffed with cream and jam, and topped with powdered sugar or chocolate. ⁠

Bakeries in Iceland, which is home to fewer than 350,000 people, make more than one million buns for Bolludagur. Countless families bake 'em at home, as well. ⁠

What an amazing night last – raising money for the Mat Su food bank!  After they enjoyed a lovely dinner of prime rib and CopperRiver red salmon cakes. These were the desserts provided by us and then the glass pieces that we created for auction.

 Chocolate covered, strawberries, salted chocolate caramel tarts,
Gluten-free heart Macaron with dragon fruit with fresh cream and strawberries, white chocolate almond raspberry gateau,  chocolate strawberry, gateau with fresh, strawberries and pink Macarons, birch logs spice cake with white chocolate bunnies and carrot cupcakes.  The large chocolate gateau went for $400!  two extra prime ribs were auctioned off, and those fetched $400 apiece. 😍
