How I Fleurish

I got started in the floral industry when I was 20 and a bagger at Carrs grocery store in downtown Anchorage, AK. As most baggers, it is not their dream to stay in that position and I definately did not want that, there was a sign in the back room advertising for floral help, Now mind you all we had at this little store was display cooler in the produce section and some green plants. Easter was coming up and when I asked my store manager about the floral position he said “well can you make bows?” Um sure.... I said, “great! make me a couple and bring them in to me tommorrow!” OK I said, I mean how hard could it be? I spent the entire night trying to create the perfect bow (this was before youtube). I managed to get a couple interesting ones done, so I brought those in to show him and to my surprise he said Wow! those are great! Can you make me 60? They were for all the Easter lilys to decorate for the store.

Long story short, I love a challenge, I will try my hardest to create exactly what you want and if you dont know what you want at the beginning of our conversation, you will by the end. I seriously love what I do and believe that its not just the flowers that bring us joy, Its the relationships behind the flowers. I “Fleurish” when I have a happy bride, and can carry on the relationship we built in creating her perfect day. Many a bride are still friends and clients to this day and I am honored to have been a small part in their special day.

And if you need a bow, I’m your girl.
