A few highlights from our 2024 WIPA Board retreat at the gorgeous Delta Hotel Southlake! We were able to work a little on some exciting new things for the rest of the year and play a little and enjoy some time poolside on this gorgeous summer day! On this Juneteenth we celebrate our freedom by giving back to others with CHIC Cares at The Taste Project! This restaurant concept was created to allow those who are in need of food the opportunity to come in and sit down and be served a hot nutritious meal.

Take me back to Nashville!!! We had a time with Jay and Kajal! This was such an amazing weekend with their friends and family!

Sunday night was our annual Chic Gala and the theme was Safari. For those of you who don’t know I founded this organization in 2015 and have been overwhelmingly blessed by our amazing council and the members who have supported over the years. The evening was so good that I didn’t even take photos I was just present in the space and in the excellence that was in the room.

Here are 3 tips to make your destination planning process easier as you plan for 2024 and 2025.
1. Start with your guest list. This will determine your location. Not all resorts have the room capacity or ballroom capacity
2. Research the best to your desired location. Hurricane season, carnival season and holidays can all affect pricing and room availability
3. Research local traditions and food so you can create experiences for your guests during the wedding weekend
Just a few tips to help you as your plan your destination wedding. One last bonus…hire an experienced destination wedding planner and travel agent to work with you and be onsite for your wedding weekend festivities!
