COME GET THE LAST OF THE DAHLIAS THIS WEEK at flower stand! This is the hardest time of the year for me. Along with the flowers dying & the birds migrating I miss them. Every thing has to rest for it to come back strong. For us this is the last push of the season. Getting dahlia tubers out and tulip bulbs in… so IF YOU NEED WORK CONTACT ME. .

We will not be at Burlington Farmers Market on Saturday October 28. Our farm stand will be open with dahlias and bouquets. This season we have to cut down our dahlia plants. Then we can lift the tubers in 1-2 weeks. The tubers can’t freeze and we prefer not to either. Before the ground freezes we have farm projects to finish ..never enough time. 📸Joel Ernstof

Looking for 1-2 people to finish out the season.
Tasks include weeding, field cleaning up, planting bulbs. Dahlias digging and preparing for storage. Staring now-early December with the possibility of doing 1 -2 day a week in the winter. We start seeding beginning of January.
Please have your own transportation, positive and upbeat attitude. Able to work in cold wet conditions & good weather.

We are a flower farm but task will be like working on a vegetable farm. Getting dirty and lugging stuff. This is not a floral design position. Please share with hard working, fun loving people.

Today the customer was so happy to receive this flower. arrangement. She also received a hug from a stranger (me). Because she needed one. Delivering flowers takes you all over your local area to places you never knew existed. Flowers are a beautiful gift given at celebrations, holidays, birthdays, thank u and days of loss. Flowers have taken me to so many places and met people that I never would have experienced otherwise.

What a joy to create this Bouquet for last weekends wedding. Flowers from the farm: dahlias, hops, scabiousa and nutsedge. Roses and eucalyptus are imported.
This couples creative friends and family designed the bridesmaids bouquets and centerpieces. We provided her the buckets of flowers to make her own wedding vision at her Aunts property.

Peony season is so special. The fragrance, the beauty and how they made June weddings popular. I have a few verities I purchased from Ed Pincus before he passed. He was an amazing creator of films and . So every peony season I think about him and how he made so many people happy with his blooms and bare roots. After 20 years of growing flowers such immense loss has never happened. We will be at Burlington Farmers market on Saturday. Your support is even more appreciated with such a huge farm loss. We sell at least 1,000 flowers a season. For all you other flower farmers out there… if u have lack of peony buds/ blooms it’s very likely to a frost related incident. This season is having so many challenges with extreme temps, lack of rain, heat waves in May. You are not alone. Share and talk to each other. How can we get through this together.
