Naugatuck-Waterbury Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Chapter 11, presented a donation of $500 to Wheeler-Young VFW Post 201, Waterbury-Naugatuck for allowing them the use of Post 201’s home to hold their meetings. Shown receiving the donation with Chapter 11 Commander Joe Piacentino are Post 201 Commander Al Comeau and Quartermaster Karl Steiner. Also shown are Post 201 members Jose Velazquez and Gerry Diaz and a group photo of the combined DAV and VFW members.

Spent the afternoon with Crosby High School JROTC. Talked to the cadets, and then we were presented a check from the JROTC they did a poppy drive to help the vfw. We are very thankful and proud of these young men and women. Thank you from all of us at vfw post 201.

On behalf of VFW Post 201 members and officers, I would like to thank everyone who attended our annual cornbeef dinner on Saturday afternoon. Thank you for your continued service. Also, thank you to the members and their families of VFW Post 149 from Danbury for stopping in to support us. Last but not least, thank you to the members and auxiliary members who helped make it a great success.
