Photographer First, and foremost, I am a mom to two crazy girls who are quite simply the highlight of my existence. Need pics?

I feel as though I can't snap enough picture memories as I try to capture & share each moment. Big or small, it doesn't matter...every milestone is important! Now in my 12th year of this photography biz...I continue to truly enjoy this opportunity to work with the most incredible people (fact), out of the most (in my opinion) perfect photography studio, in the most picturesque (again, just my opin

ion ;-)) small town Main Street location! I'm a journalist who enjoys telling a story with pictures and words. In doing so, I find myself looking deeper, seeing things more clearly, from fresh new perspectives, always searching for beauty & wonder in the world around me. I usually don't have to look very far to find it! And most often discover that the purest forms of perfection exist in the the most common places, faces. I am so grateful and feel wonderfully blessed to have this opportunity. The chance to do what I am truly passionate about, and actually get paid for it. Photography fills my bucket and is truly fulfilling for me. When I made the decision to take a break from my full-time media/advertising career, to stay home and focus on the needs of my family...I never envisioned starting my own business and having it grow and take off as quickly and organically as it did. I'm so thankful to all my family and friends (especially hubby & kiddos) who have supported me in this venture. I am a natural-light, and studio-light photographer specializing in families, children, newborns, Seniors, couples and special events. I strive to capture authentic connections between family members and customizes each session to create images that my family and friends will love and cherish forever

It’s the start of a NEW Year...and the perfect time of year to gather up your loved ones for an in-studio family portrait session.

These sessions are specifically geared towards generational families...however, you can just bring your immediate family as well.

These will take place at my brand new (135 year old) studio in downtown Waterloo.

I'll have two very neutral backdrops that will go well with anything outfit-wise.

A large exposed brick wall, and grey wall.

Our primary focus will be snapping a few full group poses. Then we'll do various breakdowns from there (for example: Grandmas and Grandpas with all their grandbabies, just the cousins, the "OG" crew, separate family units, etc...)

$40/person

- 30 minutes

- A full gallery containing 50+ (lightly edited) full-resolution digital images (with print release) to be selected from online viewing gallery. Your images will be completed, and ALL galleries posted within two weeks of your session.

(a booking deposit of $200 will be collected to secure your spot...the remaining balance is due on session day - final session cost will vary depending on amount of people)

Who’s up for a quick “behind-the-scenes” glimpse of a studio photographer?

Posting for posterity sake…as I didn’t fully realize it at the time, but turns out it was the LAST session “set-up” in this current studio. 🥹❤️

I already have everything all boxed up and can’t wait to begin relocating to the new (130-year-old) space across town!! (Getting the keys later today 🔑 SOOO EXCITED!!!)

Sidenote:
For my “milestone” clients…we usually have a phone call/consultation a week or two prior to their session.
They send me images of their outfits, etc…
Then I set up my studio accordingly prior to their arrival.

Here’s the video I sent to a client the other day after I got the studio all situated/prepped for daughter’s 1-year session (to coordinate with the outfits that she texted earlier in the day).

Jack!
Elkhorn High - Senior - Class of 2025
It was such a pleasure getting to spend time with this guy a few weeks ago. He's chill, relaxed and incredibly photogenic. He's got a good head of hair, a charming smile, and is incredibly kind and courteous to boot.
He is a little brother to two AMAZING big sisters, so I suppose that might have a little something to do with it. ;-)

Oh and congrats to Jack on an AMAZING senior year of Tennis...he finished out his senior season strong earning a bronze medal at STATE!

CLAIRE!!! Are you kidding me with this cuteness? Those sparkly eyes...and don't even get me STARTED on that hair. That perfect hair.
It was SOOO fun having the opportunity of photographing this gorgeous senior's images a few weeks ago.

This sweet young lady just happens to be one of my daughter's very dear friends. And I am so beyond grateful that McKenzie has a person as wonderful as Claire in her circle.

I can't wait to share more of her images soon...but for now, I wanted y'all to enjoy this sneak peek into her early morning sunrise session. ;-)

I have really enjoyed getting to know Lyla (mostly through her amazing momma) over the years...have also loved watching her play sports...and being witness to the unconditional LOVE she has for her family, especially her little sisters.

Getting this chance to shoot Tye’s senior photos was an absolute DREAM.
I mean just LOOK at him!

There is, however, so much more to Tye than meets the eye.
Not only is he incredibly handsome...he is kind, SMART, and insanely athletic. Anyone who knows this young man's parents are not surprised by these characteristics.

Most people would have no idea just "looking" at him...
but Tye has actually overcome a great deal of adversity to get where he is.
The mere fact that he can walk and stand tall, let alone excel as the Class A athlete you see today is nothing short of miraculous, and true testament to God's unfailing love. In addition to grit and determine to never giving up...setting and CONQUERING goals.
On, and most importantly OFF the field.

I have known his mom and dad since college...the last time I photographed their family was TEN years ago...needless to say, they've grown up quite a bit since our last session.

Lastly, please join me in wishing Tye and his Titan Football team the BEST OF LUCK as they compete in the first round of the Nebraska State Football Playoffs this Friday.

the rumors are true.

But not far…

I’m heading BACK to Main Street!!

For those following along, you may have noticed I’ve had a few different studio locations these past 14 years… 📸

I have been truly enjoying my current space over here on River Road. I mean it’s a BRAND spanking NEW, wide open, gigantic space, with INSANELY tall ceilings…what’s not to love?? 🤷‍♀️

Well, an opportunity arose for me to relocate a few blocks over…into a 134 year old building in the heart of one of the most charming of Main Streets. A building (former hardware store and theater) I have adored since I was a little girl…and you had better believe I would be thrilled to jump at the chance to call this my studio home!

This new (to me) space is so cozy, and despite its age, is in AMAZING condition.

This new studio will most certainly lend itself perfectly to all my clients…from families, to seniors, newborns, toddlers, headshots, and to athletes alike!

As a portrait photographer specializing in high school seniors, I’m sure you can imagine how much I consider Main Street an EXTENSION of my studio. I have missed having all those architectural elements, wide variety of colors, textured walls, benches, staircases, alley-ways, reflective windows, and gorgeous lit nooks, just steps outside my studio doors.
As was the case 10 of my last 14 years of having a studio space.

These "EHS, ESHS, & ENHS" Seniors (of whom I had the pleasure of photographing this year) are down to ONE final hour of High School. #EPSAchieves 🎓 Their moms are not okay. 🥹❤️

Pinch me…I feel like I’m DREAMING!!! 😍 I can’t even believe I have this absolutely AWESOME opportunity of calling Sycamore Farm my studio “home.” 😄🥹 In addition to all the natural beauty Sycamore has to offer, I’ll also be setting up several “scenes” in and around the arena, stables, and coffeehouse. Most of which will be rather “nuetral” and “simplistic” in tone. Anyone who knows Alex, knows he’s a Jack-of-all-trades. There’s not much this young man can’t do, won’t do, and/or hasn’t done. He’s the one wearing all-the-hats, behind all-the-scenes, making sure all-the-things are running smoothly! I can only imagine how much his school, and this entire community of Elkhorn is going to MISS his presence when he goes off to college. 🤷‍♀️ But the time is almost near, that Alex must spread his wings and begin preparing for his OWN future. This kid WILL move mountains. “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths” ~ Walt Disney

Not only is Rebecca Baker bright, beautiful, brave, and brilliant, she also happens to be an impressive athlete, and has the HARDWARE to prove it. (We loved smuggling all these trophies into my studio. 😄) 🏆🥇🏀🏐🎾 Wishing Rebecca the best of luck as she strives to add one last medal to her collection before graduation...@ the NE State TENNIS Championships! The world is her oyster, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things she sets out to achieve beyond high school. So very proud of you Rebecca!!

If I was only able to choose one word to describe Dalton, I think it would have to be DETERMINED. Give this kid a goal, and he IS going to crush it! He is not even through his senior year, but is already well on his way to becoming a professional firefighter. Not only is he taking college classes to earn his degree...He shows up to fire and rescue calls at all hours of the night, in an effort to help those in need. This apple most certainly does NOT fall far from the tree, as he carries on a longtime legacy of serving our community. Dalton is faithfully following in the big footsteps of those laid before him. So extremely proud of all he has done, and all he will continue to do. Please join me in wishing my brave, loyal, humble, and kind nephew Dalton all the best as he counts down the days until graduation.

I truthfully don't even know where to begin with this amazing young lady. Aside from being adorable and smart, Lauren has such a beautiful heart, and is one of the most lovely individuals I know. <3 She so very generously shares her gift of music, and I can not wait to see where the future takes her.
