We bid farewell to our seasonal reception tent last week for the winter! Peak season weekend pricing includes the use of our fabric lined 40 by 80’ tent with general illumination over brick pavers, which can accommodate up to 200 seated guests.

This ticketed component of “The Merry Mingle” community event on December 1, 2024 at the Commander’s Mansion includes:
- a reserved time slot for a photo session with Santa
- one digital download (a private online gallery of options from Natalie Nigito Photography will be sent to the email address used during checkout and additional photos will be available for purchase)
- hot chocolate and sweet treats
- activities and holiday displays to enjoy on the second floor of the Commander’s Mansion

Watertown Fire Department members often begin their shifts with “street drills” and the Chief was stumped last week on Heodo Ters Circle (as listed on Google Maps). They took a drive and it turned out to be incorrect spelling for an old Watertown Arsenal street sign for Headquarters Circle, the stretch of Talcott Avenue in front of the Commander’s Mansion including our circular driveway!

The office at the Commander’s Mansion is closed today, October 14, 2024, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day/Columbus Day.

Watertown City Hall, Parker Annex, Department of Public Works Offices, Senior Center and the Watertown Free Public Library are closed on Monday, October 14, 2024 in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day/Columbus Day.

Please be aware that there is a one-day delay for trash and recycling pickup due to the holiday. Pickup for the week is Tuesday, October 15 - Saturday, October 19, 2024.
