The Friends of the NCW Fair crab feed, prime rib dinner and auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year. The funds raised from this event go to improvements on our facilities. Improvements like: new roofs, electrical, pens, panels, sprinkler systems, asphalt repair, barn improvements. We hope you will consider donating to our auction!

We are on the hunt for Auction items for our 27th annual Crab Feed, Prime Rib Dinner & Auction.

This is the Friends of the Fairs biggest fundraiser of the year and a tradition near and dear to so many! The funds raised from this going directly back to improvements on the fairgrounds. Projects we have been able to complete in the last several years are: new roofs, new electrical, new ticket booths, upgraded sprinkler systems, purchased a fork lift.

What a YEAR 2024 was. Our little fairgrounds was hustling and bustling with people throughout the year and we are so incredibly thankful!!

Our team has been hard at work and 2025 is looking BRIGHT!! We are pausing on some favored events to try something new and getting bold by stepping out of our box to do something this fair has NEVER done in it's over 135+ years of existence! Any guesses?

May 30 & 31 - Junk Rodeo is BACK!! Our favorite Western/Vintage market experience of the year!

June 27 - We are taking a pause on Monster Trucks and replacing it this year with something.... BIG. Fireworks won't be the only thing in the AIR at this event!!

August 21 - We are going to try something the NCW Fair has never done before.... stay tuned!

August 22 - Country music is king at the NCW Fair - and we are so excited to announce who our headling artist will be at the Crab Feed - March 8th.

August 23 & 24 - Long Live Cowboys & Cowgirls. Big Bend Round Up is one of our most favored western and wild events!!

Since 1889

The NCW Fair began in 1889 as the Douglas County Industrial Exposition. The Big Bend Round-Up was added shortly thereafter. In the early 1900’s, it was known as the Waterville Potato Carnival. It became the Douglas County Fair in the 1920’s and the North Central Washington District Fair in the 1940’s and remained so until 2005 when the “District” was removed. Commonly, the NCW Fair is also known as the “Fair in Waterville.” From parades and picnics through Waterville to exhibits and animals at the Fairgrounds, the NCW Fair has been a premier event in Douglas County and North Central Washington for well over 100-years!!!
