The story behind the Starbucks cup wedding cake…The cup “tradition” started when Aaron asked Anjelica to be his girlfriend by writing on a Starbucks cup “Jelly, will you be my girlfriend??” ⁠

From there every anniversary or big moment in their life came with a Starbucks cup and note! Anjelica collected all the cups over the years and then had us set them up at their wedding to be displayed. They were even set into a bed of coffee beans to make sure you could smell the coffee !☕️⁠

On the top of this display was a Starbucks cup that was actually their wedding cake! 🎂 Honestly this cake was so beautifully designed you had to guess if it was a cup VS a cake.⁠

If you're anything like me chances are you involve your pups in everything you do! Here are three ways to include your dog on your big day:⁠

🐕 Hire to bring your dog to your wedding. You could have them be part of the ceremony or just take some cute family photos together!⁠
⁠
🐶 Name your signature drinks after your dog and order cocktail stirrers with their picture on it from Etsy.⁠
⁠
🐩 Have dog treats as your wedding favors and be sure to include pictures of your dog in the display!⁠

Through the planning process I work with all my couples to bring their wedding vision to life! I do this by visiting your venue with you 8-12 weeks before your wedding day. At this visit I am able to see how you envision using the space and even give you suggestions where to put decor! ⁠

Our “Decor Instructions” worksheet allows you to communicate with us exactly how you want your decor setup! In this document you are able to list your decor items and instructions for how you want it set up. And if you are a visual person or have Pinterest inspiration, the best part of this doc is you can upload pictures and screenshots directly into it. Why did I start a business?✨⁠

To help couples create a wedding day that is true to them. Sounds cliche right? But no seriously at my wedding day two years ago I was told I didn’t need to hire a planner. Wrong. ⁠
⁠
Being as type A as I am it was nearly impossible for me to give up control on my wedding day. I was busy coordinating my wedding day while getting my hair done, taking pictures and eating dinner. I wasn't able to just be the bride and wasn't fully present on my wedding day. ⁠
⁠
Looking back, not hiring a planner is one of my biggest regrets. So I decided to become the person my type A couples can trust to take control on their wedding day and allow them to be fully present with the one they love most. ⁠

Worried about not having enough time on your wedding day? 🚨⁠
⁠
We have all heard it. Your wedding day is going to fly by, make sure to take time to enjoy but what I never hear is how do I make sure I have enough time? ⁠
⁠
💒 Book an “all inclusive” venue that allows you to get ready onsite, have your ceremony, reception and all your pictures in one location. Driving 15 minutes away just for pictures is really 45 minutes of total travel time when you include unloading and loading the shuttle! ⁠
⁠
📸 I will say it over and over, make sure you have enough photography time booked. This is so important to making sure you have enough time to capture your day. An example of when you’ll need more than the standard 8 hours is when your ceremony and reception are at different locations. ⁠
⁠
💄 Be realistic about what time hair and makeup will actually need to start. It takes about 45 minutes per party member and 1 hour for the bride. If you underestimate how long getting ready will take it can put your whole wedding day behind. ⁠
⁠
👫🏼 Ceremony time. If you have an early ceremony but want to do a first look and have all your wedding party/ family pictures done before the ceremony it may not be possible. It’s important to talk with your photographer and planner to make sure you pick a ceremony time that has great lighting and allows you enough time to do your pre ceremony pictures. ⁠
⁠
💍 Book me to plan your wedding day. 😉 But seriously, when I am designing my couple’s wedding day I make sure they have enough time to get every photo taken and time to breathe. ⁠

I believe in being upfront and honest with my couples about how much time events may take on a wedding day from getting guests seated for their ceremony and to breaking down tables for dancing. I want to make sure my couples never feel like they are running out of time. ⁠

💰️ Creating a wedding budget is top priority when you start planning your wedding. This is so important because you will want to make sure you are not overspending when hiring vendors, this includes making sure a wedding planner fits in that budget. ⁠

📓 Hire a wedding planner. Hiring a wedding planner will instantly take the wedding stress away. A wedding planner will help guide you to finding the perfect vendors and then execute your wedding vision ⁠

👯 Create a guest list. You will need to have a draft guest list to start looking at venues. You don’t want to book a venue too small for your guest count and then pray some people won’t show up because there isn’t enough room.⁠

What do you do when it rains your entire wedding day? 🌧️⁠

Well you don’t let the rain get you down! Hannah and Zach got married this past April at The Gage and it literally rained their entire day. Fortunately they booked a beautiful venue that had the space and background for indoor pictures. They were able to capture all their photos inside without having to give up amazing pictures. ⁠

When you book your venue you will want to talk about weather plan A, B and C right away! It is never too early to start preparing for the unpredictable Wisconsin weather!⁠
