The Janssens 🥹

A real life twilight wedding that we had the honor of partial planning for 🥹❤️

C+B had such a chill outlook on the day when plans changed and we had to decide on an indoor ceremony because of the rain ☔️

In the morning I worked closely with their amazing venue to move their ceremony into the main building that we would later flip into their reception space. It kept their guests dry, made for some fantastic photos and memories, and the rain cleared for cocktail hour so we could sneak the couple away for dreamy post-storm portraits!

KILLED IT and captured some of the most stunning photos that truly embodied the day perfectly.

I would hands down panic, sweat, and move around 150+ chairs over again if it meant I could relive this day. ❤️

They had the most accommodating vendors and dream team!

Welcome Bags 🤩

Here are 5 Items you can pack into your hotel welcome bags for your guests on your wedding weekend:

⭐️ Snacks or candy | because your guests are DEFINITELY going to need something to hold them over and enjoy that is totally, completely YOU

⭐️ Itinerary so that your guests know where to go, when to be there, and what to expect! Whether you’re having a welcome reception, rehearsal dinner or day after brunch- they’ll be there if they can! Especially if they know it’s happening!

⭐️ Hangover kit- because they may need it 🤣 Throw in some advil, water, electrolytes and any other goodies you can think of!

⭐️ Weather essentials- if your day is going to be sunny or buggy, throw in a travel size of your fave sunscreen or bug spray so your guests are prepared!

⭐️ Notes or Favors! Whether it is a monogrammed koozie (or bag 🤪) toss something in there that your guests will love and think of you every time they pick it up. You could even write a thank you note to them for a special touch!

Kathleen + Jef

Their wedding celebrations were held at Kathleen’s parents house in Bull Valley IL. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and as shown, her family worked diligently to ensure their day was as amazing as they are. From preparing handmade signage to gardening and landscaping, their people really came together in the ways that mattered.

They were so helpful in helping me with setup, and open to my ideas for the day. Their timeline was curated to allow them plenty of time with family and those that matter most. They kept the party going even after their vendors left with their closest friends and family, too- a luxury of having a private estate wedding.

These were just a few of my favorite moments- there were way too many to share 🥹

It’s giving ✨up north✨

In June we had the honor of attending and coordinating Erik and Karley’s wedding in the north woods!

It was where the two of them spent a lot of their summers with their families, and then with one another when they walked into each others lives. From standing in for one of their bridesmaids during their flip cup entrance, to ensuring their crew stayed on schedule and rode over in style, everything about their day felt so unique and truly special.

I have a few posts for them because I honestly couldn’t narrow down all the things I loved about their day and them! 😍

How should your parents walk down the aisle?

As a wedding planner and wedding coordinator, I have seen alllll the ways a ceremony can go. Here are some of the few ways I have seen parents es**rted down the aisle:

1) With the couple! Many times I suggest to both partners to have their mom and dad walk down with the two of them. This means that Partner 1 + 2 are es**rted with both parents when they walk! It is super sentimental!

2) Parents es**rt one another, and the couple walks alone! This would mean that mom and dad of both partners would walk down as a pair, and the couple either walks in with their officiant, alone, or each other!

3) Parents walk in with another family member! Sometimes moms can walk in with a sibling or grandparent, and if that person is in the wedding party or in need of circling back to walk again with someone else they can do so while also making sure their parent gets down the aisle in style!

One of the most beautiful decor setups at a venue. Would you believe me if I told you all of these candles are LED? 🤩

Mix and match candles and bases are my FAVE, just don’t forget the stick em gel / product to keep your candles standing upright and not tipping over!

As your wedding coordinator, I’ve got you covered with this as I always keep museum gel or sticky tools to keep your items in place without ruining them!
