Today I had the absolute joy of officiating Aurora and Kasey's wedding at the beautiful Waupaca Danes Hall! So much love and devotion! From the cutest flower girl, to the most handsome pup in his tuxedo, to all the tears shed when Kasey and Aurora shared their vows- it's been an amazing day! I also had the pleasure to work with Aimee, the business manager if this beautiful Hall! If you haven't been here since the restoration, make it a point to check it out!
First day of forever down, an eternity to go! Congratulations!

Yesterday, in the transport to the Port, another passenger answered her phone, and responded to the question, "How are you?" With, "Blessed."
That sums it up. I'm because I got to share this with my family. I get to share the amazing adventure of travel with my kids. Before last year, I'd only traveled three times: when I was 3, by train to DisneyWorld, when I was 15 on a band/choir trip to NYC, and when I was 17 down to OK.
My kids will have a love of travel and adventure from the beginning and I'm blessed to share this with them.

August 26, 2022 I had an absolute blast when I married Jordan and Gabriel! They are a super fun and amazing couple! I won't lie, Jordan and I bonded over Starbucks and , which doesn't make me bias AT ALL, but I knew at our first meeting we would have a great time. Jordin and Gabriel wrote their own vows to each other and shared them to me, separately, shortly before the wedding. I cried! They were beautiful and moving and, of course, funny!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: one of my favorite things about weddings is watching when the couple first see each other-- the raw emotion, the pure joy, the absolute love in those looks is better than all the caffeine on Earth.

On June 17, 2017, I had the pleasure of joining Maryann and Ted in marriage.

Last year their daughter Sadie reached out to me in hopes that I'd be able to officiate her ceremony. I jumped at the chance!

This weekend I got to reunite with Maryann and Ted and join the next generation in marriage! I love the connections!

Feeling accomplished and doing all the writing! Feeling a *little* sassy so I decided to interview myself today.
"Self, when you are in "The Zone," doing "All The Writing," what are you listening to?"
"Gosh Self, that's a tough one. I have several playlists that are constantly evolving. I have one for long drives, or when I'm feeling like belting out my feelings, but no matter what the playlist Ba*****ed Ladies will always be featured. I have yet to find a situation that there isn't an applicable BNL song in the many, MANY years I've been enjoying their creations."
"Self, I notice you aren't available for weddings on June 23 or 24. Why is that?"
"Well Self, that would be because the husband and youngest two teens are going to Summerfest and I will be enjoying my 6th Ba*****ed Ladies concert, among the 10 different stages, amazing food vendors, shopping, and all around good time with my family sharing my life-long love of live music and Summerfest. Two years ago I joined a group, , thinking it was "just another mommy group." I found out quick, fast, and in a hurry that it was so much more. I joined a community of moms all over the world, moms on all areas of the mom spectrum. We don't have the same parenting style, some of us are crunchy moms, some laid-back, some are super organized, and some (me) are the definition of hot mess. But the one thing we have in common is supporting each other.
Tonight we had theme.
I won't kiss and tell because but I will say rocking tunes and fun outfits are always in style!

I've been blessed to have been raised by parents with a passion for music. I've been blessed to have been exposed from the very beginning to a wide range of artists, from The Beatles to B.B. King. I'm blessed to be able to say that my grandfather had a hand in establishing the world's largest music festival. I'm blessed to be able to say I've experienced the musical genius of Ray Charles, Paul Simon, Keb' Mo', The Ba*****ed Ladies, Paul McCartney, Gretchen Wilson, and Little Big Town (to name a few) live.
And tonight I'm blessed to say that I'm one of many who witnessed Elton John's final Wisconsin concert. I'll be the first to admit I cried more than once and screamed like the fan-girl I am too many times to count. Thank you, Sir Elton, for the honor to witness your greatness and for sharing your music with the world.

I got my roots in high school forensics. Four years competing and 10 more judging and coaching with the Waupaca School district. Many of my fondest memories are of tournaments. Inside jokes with my teammates and making new friends with other competitors. I had the pleasure of judging at a district tourney in Lomira last night. My final round was in a classroom filled with books and pigs and this sign. Being a writer and a bibliophile this sign speaks to me. Silently, of course!

For our 15th wedding anniversary, my husband and I decided to go on a cruise. And short of marrying him and our kids, it's the best decision we've ever made!
Yesterday was Cozumel where I got a little sun and then selfies on the stairs with Swarovski crystals in them! Everyone knows I LOVE sparkles!

Also, I married this man.
For better or for worse.
In sickness and in health.
From babies to four teenagers to two adult offspring and two teenage girls who may be the death of us.
Here's to another 15 years of your snoring, pretending not to notice when my hair changes, and teaching two more people how to drive.

I'm back! Unfortunately we got hit with Covid and a few family members passing, so I've been laying pretty low lately recovering physically and emotionally.
But today is February 1st, and anyone who's anyone knows that 38 years ago my best friend was born! So I picked myself up, dusted myself off, and saw one of the most amazing women I have ever had the pleasure to know! Here's to 32 more years of friendship!
