It was a great day at the Wisconsin State Fair ! I was honored to compete on stage in their annual floral competition with two other very talented designers and humbly took first place and People's Choice Award.

Our design challenge was to create a display for a 90 year old fair goer lover that included cream puff box(es) and must include three kinds of manipulated foilages. Fun!

It was my first time at the state fair, so afterwards our family enjoyed those cream puffs, rode the ski lift, danced, walked everywhere, had an ice cream flight and watched a horse show.

My pivotal "Ahhhahhh" life moment.

There was this girl's trip when I was 20 I took with some coworkers. It was the beginning of my floral career at an entry level flower shop.
We drove hours to our location, it was springtime and everything was blooming and pretty. I mentioned a few times "ohhhh look at that!" Gawking over the tulips and dogwoods likely.
When I said something again, one of my coworkers mentioned we're not at work, so it doesn't matter or something of the like.

It struck me.

I realized in that moment that I absolutely loved my job, flowers and horticulture.

It wasn't just a job to clock in, get money and go home.

Friday night happenings! Just finished Cortni's flowers for tomorrow at Rondele Ranch . See the rich, warm colors!!! It's so enjoyable to put these feet up for a few hours before heading up north. Sara's Tansy Hill Farm wedding is tomorrow and those flowers are in their care already. She has beautiful peachy 🍑 orange and cream colors....just stunning! Congratulations to our couples!

I am industrious. This is Friday night in my world! The quiet at the end of a wedding prep, right before bed. Double checking the contract over and over, packing the toolbox and clothes, and cleaning a monstrous mess. It feels like Christmas Eve. All the work, stess and thought put into the project and it's over so quickly. This week we had/have 1 large wedding Chippewa Retreat Resort in Manitowish Waters, 1 smaller wedding, 5 funerals, and a Sunday brunch wedding shower SentryWorld. Love it all!

Our Story

Welcome to my little corner in the world. My name is Fawn, owner and artist behind Inspired By Nature. Flowers have always brought me great joy. They are so magical and lovely, each created as unique as we are. They have their own language and short little beautiful life. It is my complete happiness to see a person’s face light up when they receive their flowers.

Full service floral design for weddings includes consulting, planning, design days, delivery and placement and at times breakdowns/pick up on rentals and such. This service has a minimum financial commitment of $2000 for 2019 dates/$2500 for 2020 dates ($500 retainer that is applied to the balance). Fawn’s designs are full and intricate with many unique blooms to make them truly ‘Inspired By Nature’ designs and require many stems to achieve that desired look and quality. Each wedding is lovingly curated with the finest ingredients and with the utmost care as if it where her own. Therefore, we take only a limited amount of wedding work per week. We recommend booking your date with a retainer as soon as possible to ensure your floral reservation!

We also offer the finest and most heartfelt sympathy tributes around. You will be proud of your flowers for your loved ones service or as your sympathy gift. Specializing in family group collections for a unified look. Serving the greater Wausau area for this service.

Our office hours are Monday through Thursday 9am - 4pm. If a note is received later in the week, a Monday reply is expected because we are working hard on the events for our clients of the week and a time of rest on Sunday with family and friends. But don't worry, we will commit to the same focus when your big day comes!
