Water Walkers - The Central WI Water Ski Show Team

The Water Walkers are a non-profit all volunteer organization providing free family friendly waterski entertainment to Central Wisconsin!

The Central Wisconsin Water Ski Show Team performs free water ski shows twice weekly from June-August. Lake Wausau shows are Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Bluegill Bay Park, 153030 Oriole Ln., Wausau. Bleacher seating is available or bring your own chair. Lake DuBay shows are Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at South Bay Beach Park, 4480 Park Road, Mosinee, WI. Bring a blanket or chair to sit on as well as sungl

asses or a hat. The sunset is beautiful behind our final pyramid! At each show we pass buckets and collect a free will donation that keeps gas in our boats and skiers on the water! We also sell 50/50 raffle tickets. A concession stand with food, beverages, and snacks is available. You can expect to hear great announcing and toe tapping music, and see skiers of all ages in dazzling costumes, all combined to provide free entertainment for you and your family!

Ready, Set, Big Pull!

Welcome to Lake Dubay home of the Water Walkers and host site for the Big Pull event where skiers from all over the country will gather to attempt to break various waterskiing world and national records!

⏰ Action starts Saturday, Sept 14th at 8am

📍 4480 Park Road Mosinee (Take DB Exit 171)

☀️ Bring a chair or blanket to sit on, sunglasses/hat/sunshades, etc.

🔍 Binoculars are handy to see the action as the skiers leave the starting dock

🍔 Concessions available for purchase! Breakfast burritos, muffins, juice, coffee, burgers, brats, hotdogs, snacks, beverages, etc!

🧻 No running water on site - outhouses available

Unlike a ski show, there will be a significant amount of downtime between attempts, but the pulls off the dock are incredible to see!

If you are in the area, be sure to come down to the ski site to check out the action!

For the safety of all athletes, event crew and the general public... a reminder that there is a permitted closure of the South Bay Beach boat launch, beach, and waterway in effect September 14th from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Each attempt will see a large number of boats moving in unison across the lake and we wish to maintain a safe environment for everyone. No boat traffic other than event traffic is permitted in this section of the lake (area near dam) during the aforementioned hours.

Big Pull Energy! You’ve asked what kind of boat it takes, here it is!

American Marine & Motorsports in Shawano and the Shawano Ski Sharks partnered up with BankFirst and Wolf River Financial Advisors-Thrivent Financial to build this record breaking boat! It consists of a 21’ Legacy hull built by D & S Marine Inc rigged with triple 500 r Mercury Marine outboard motors giving this boat 1500 horsepower! A 3.5” solid stainless pylon was installed as well as a custom quick release machined by KW Show Ski Equipment …suitable for breaking records!

The action starts at 8:00 AM. The best viewing will be from the regular ski site audience area. (Bring binoculars!) Unlike a ski show, there will be a significant amount of downtime between attempts, but the starts are incredible to see!

The Water Walker ladies (plus Joe 😂) came out in full force yesterday for our first annual jump clinic with George Hartmann! Watch out guys, these girls are killing it! 🔥

The Water Walkers are the host team for the Big Pull event where skiers from all over the country will gather to attempt to break various waterskiing world and national records!

We are talking BIG numbers! Here are the starting lineup numbers for the records we are attempting to break:
🔸Ballet Line - 65 Skiers
🔸Strap Doubles - 30 Couples
🔸Prebuilt Pyramids - 8 (48 Skiers)
🔸Kneeboard - 50 People (if time allows)..and skiers are on site to go even bigger!

The action starts at 8:00 AM. The best viewing will be from the regular ski site audience area. Unlike a ski show, there will be a significant amount of downtime between attempts, but the starts are incredible to see!

The Water Walkers are excited to reveal our new equipment trailer! Our team has seen steady growth the past few years and outgrew our current equipment trailer. It was like trying to put pants on that just didn’t fit! 😂 Our trailer houses all our skis, ropes, sound system, show props, safety equipment, and so much more. Our team is 100% mobile and relies on our equipment trailer for every show and practice. We have some work ahead of us installing interior ski racks, hooks, shelving, etc. but will be fully transitioned to the new trailer for the start of our 2024 season in just a few weeks! We can’t wait to show you a tour of the inside once it’s complete! Support for the majority of this project was provided through the Nils Folke Jr. & Jean B.
