I'm in a bit of a quandary here at Obadiah's I have a renewal of vows scheduled for December 6th for Brenda Row (e) but I have no phone number for her or contact information. If anyone knows her can you please tell her to give me a call at 912 614 2719.

The cypress trees rise from the water, their trunks tall and graceful, as if they’ve been standing there forever, watching the world go by. Their knees, those mysterious roots, poke up from the earth like whispers of the swamp, silent and steady. It’s said they help the tree breathe, connecting it to the land in a way that feels ancient, almost magical. The cypress grows slowly, patiently, its rough bark softened by time and water. Under its wide, sheltering branches, there’s a sense of calm, as if the world slows down for just a moment. The cypress and its knees are part of the quiet rhythm of old Georga, rooted in the soul of the swamp, timeless and serene.

Ice and Water will be at Swamp Road Baptist Church tomorrow!! We are anticipating around 10AM. We will have volunteers there from 10AM - 12PM and 3PM - 5PM tomorrow.

Please keep in mind that there is a limit to the ice and water per household. This is per address, not per person at the address.

I will update Closer to approximated time tomorrow. Brother Joey Chancey is taking his ice-cooler trailer and trucks over to pick up the items and bring them back.

We are looking for volunteers to help man the post, please private message me if you’re interested in working some of the times so that we can help our neighbors get what they need.

There is still families without water and power in our little community. I truly hope this helps alleviate some of the issues until we can get our power restored.

There is also food distribution at DC downtown. If there is anyone that does not have water, or ice and needs it to be delivered, please let me know. We will do our very, best to get it to you.

We are still doing our Meet and Greet on Sunday Oct. 6th at Obediah's Okefenok Event Center
We will be actively decorating the Swamp for Halloween that day also.
You don't have to work (but you certainly can if you want) we just want to say hey, and have a bite to eat with our neighbors!
We will have food there and you are welcome to bring a friend a side dish or both!!!
Come on by after church and break some bread with us!!! We look forward to meeting you!

We did take some damage to a lot of trees and we will be there Sunday and Monday clearing debris also!

I will be headed out to Obediahs tomorrow morning. We had about 30 trees go down and some other light damage. If you feel like doing some yard work come join me, bring a chainsaw and boots!!!
Anytime after 10am is good!
There's no electric out there yet and may not be tomorrow.

I can use any help I can get! Bring your own snacks and a cooler if ya can.

Obediahs came through the storm ok. We have trees down everywhere. Our entrance sign has damage and the blacksmiths shop roof got damaged. Minor repairs are needed and we have about 30 trees down. We have no power as is the case in most of Waycross. I will be there Sunday and Monday to see what all is needed. I hope all of the neighbors are good.

Hey y'all, it brings us great joy to announce that Obediah's has new owners. We have been looking for the right people for a while. We know that Obediah's has a special place in all our hearts. Roger & Debra are going to do a great job continuing to preserve our history and create new memories.
David & I want to thank each and everyone that helped us with each event, we couldn't have done it without you. To everyone that booked with us, thank you for being the best customers. We have met the most amazing people and learned so much. Thank you for supporting us. Please help us support Roger & Debra. They are already planning their first event and we are looking forward to it. Please keep your eyes on the page for updates.
