Big news!!! In memory of the fantastic coach and person, Isaac Black, Shari’s Starz WACO tumbling program will be renamed to Isaac’s Starz. See the rest of the post to learn a bit more about the significance of this name change❤️
“My heart is aching but Heaven is one star brighter” ❤️
Isaac helped so many kids believe in themselves, spotting them till they were comfortable, and always could make you smile. ❤️ You are missed and loved so much!! Until we meet in Heaven old friend..we will dance, tumble, spot, and inspire others together again❤️
My tumbling journey started at 3 with Erin Wade. I choose to add in extra tumbling (Ariel Energy in Wayland) to my schedule when I was older wanting more dance/ tumbling opportunities as my love for the sport grew. Isaac started tumbling at a young grade with Chris Alvine. This is when I met Isaac and our friendship started. ❤️ I’ll always cherish Wayland tumbling and the fact it’s where I met you. He encouraged me to keep the program going and to make time to add it into my studio when Chris chose to retire. I’m so glad I listened! Unbelievably Grateful and thankful we got to teach together where our friendship started ❤️
Obituary;
Isaac Allen Black, 25, lover of God, lover of men, passed away suddenly from injuries he sustained while exploring a waterfall area on the Island of Kauai in the early morning of December 7, 2021.
Isaac was born on May 5, 1996, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to David Allen Black and Sherri Ann (Nation) Black. He moved with his family back to the family farm east of Wayland, Iowa, when he was in the second grade and graduated WACO High School 2014. Isaac loved to cook and was a cook in an Iowa City restaurant for three years and, most recently, worked in a small butcher shop where he wanted to learn the trade. Isaac touched many lives very deeply with his kindness. Anyone who spent any time with Isaac found very quickly that he truly cared about others and tried to help anyone he could. He was a follower of Jesus and was not ashamed to make that known to the people he came in contact with every day.
Isaac is survived by his parents, David and Sherri Black; his siblings, Austin (Jessica) Bixby, Levi and Gabriel Black and Hannah Black (Patrick Gollhofer); his grandparents, Larry and Dianne Black and Dorothy Nation; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials;
“Because of who Isaac was we ask that instead of sending memorials, you give to those in need and any memorials we receive will be donating to those in need. Isaac had the biggest heart and touched so many lives, we hope others will be like Isaac and continue helping everyone and anyone for nothing in return.” - The Black Family
