Throwback to last summer when my first ever tiny cutting garden started to pop. Can't wait to dive back in this season! Starting everything from seed, watching it all grow and tending to the garden each day was exciting, healing, soothing and exhausting (in a good way) all at once.
It also gave me some small insight into how much goes into growing cut flowers. I am in awe of the growers I source from and the amazing things that happen on flower farms!
Last year I sourced the majority of my blooms from flower farms here in NJ and I look forward to sourcing more locally grown floral ingredients this year!

Busy prepping for Valentineโs Day in my studio! This is one of my favorite parts of the whole process of bringing a floral creation to life. I love processing all of the floral ingredients to be used, checking and giving each stem a whole lot of love (taking a ton of pics, too ๐). It feels like this is the special one on one time I get with my flowers before they become part of a bouquet or arrangement. It's amazing how much joy flowers can bring during each stage of their journey.

๐ฝ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐๐ก๐๐ช, or the language of flowers, was very popular in Victorian England. Blooms were often gifted to send coded messages. Tulips, in particular, have a long and fascinating history, and they continue to inspire and delight us today. While the Victorian floriography craze may have faded, we still use flowers to send messages and spread joy.
