Monday’s are for meal planning. I typically take inventory of what I have to use up in my fridge and what meats I have in my freezer and then plan accordingly. I do this once a week because I don’t want to think about dinners every day. Prep whatever you can in advance- you’ll thank yourself later!|

This kid is 15 today! What better way to celebrate than sleeping in, playing hooky from school, sledding with friends, a hot chocolate bar, a new bike station to tinker with and it’s not even halfway through the day! More sledding with friends later, his favorite dinner of flank steak and an angel food cake for dessert. Life is good for this 15 year old and I am so lucky that I can call him mine ❤️|

I am not a baker but I woke up this morning and decided to bake a cake 🤷🏼‍♀️. Boxed red velvet cake mix with a homemade icing was easy and festive! Everything doesn’t need to be over the top, sometimes semi-homemade is the way to go!|⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We are bringing back with Macie! Some fun facts about Macie: she grew up in Southern California and lived in Berlin for a year (She is fluent in German!). In her free time she loves baking, crafting, and getting outside with her two lab pups! Along with working with FLAG, she is an elementary math coach in Upper Darby School District and a photographer ()

They say it’s the most beautiful day in May. I won’t disagree and I’m going to celebrate with a watermelon and mint vodka spritzer ☀️|

Make the mint simple syrup by boiling one cup of water with one cup of sugar and a handful of fresh mint leaves until the sugar has dissolved. Set aside to cool. Meanwhile, purée fresh watermelon chunks in a blender. Push through a mesh sieve so it’s just the juice. Set aside. To make the drink: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, mix 2 ounces of the watermelon juice along with a half ounce of syrup. Add 1.5 oz of vodka or tequila. Shake well and pour into a cup. Garnish with fresh mint and enjoy|

All the signatures are from wedding party members. Sterling silver and so beautiful. These are the kind of heirlooms that will be precious for generations|
