Event and Wedding information. People, when attending, especially a function that has requested an RSVP, do not bring an extra friend and do not ask for a take-out plate. Catering is figured and priced upon a per person basis. Take-outs and a last minute friend add to this number that your hosts have already budgeted and paid for. Normally most caterers do prepare a little extra, because they don't want to come up short on servings. Normally catering for events is figured on one meat and sides for each person, so if you take one of each or multiples of the main entre someone is going to miss out. Please use common manners and sense when attending weddings or events. I've seen people rush the serving line and load a plate with meats only to throw most of it away or ask for a take-out plate. Caterers don't want to go back to the bride and groom to pay for more food because you brought along an uncounted plus one or after eating your fill and throwing the remainder in the trash, you ask for a take-out plate.

As we begin the season of “cookouts” please be mindful of a few things…
The Rules for attending a cookout are:

1) Do not show up if you were not invited by the host. I don't care who you know!

2) If you were invited do not bring extra people with you.

3) Always ask do I need to bring anything.
Even if the answer is no, bring a bag of chips at minimum.

4) Should you bring anything at all, bring it with the intention of leaving it.

5) If you have not contributed financially to the event you "ARE NOT" entitled to leave with anything wrapped in aluminum foil or in a Tupperware container.

6) Everyone has rules at their house, be respectful or don't come.

7) If your children are not well behaved, you must stay at home with your children. (Sorry, not sorry)

😎 The Saints will mingle with the Aints, if you can't handle that, stay home!

9) This is not the time for you to learn the latest line dance.. Sit down somewhere!! You had all of spring and winter to practice!

10) If you smoke, idc what it is, sit yourself down in an isolated area . No one wants that stuff blowing in their face or over their food.

11) This goes along with #7... The cookout is not a free babysitting service. You brought your child YOU watch your child.

12) The food is not going to run out. Stop making these gigantic plates knowing you can't eat it all.

13) Stop asking who made the potato salad. If I told you, you wouldn't know any way!

14) Before you trip about the sodas not being "Name Brand", ask yourself did you contribute one dime.

15) Before you open a fresh bottle of water finish the one you started.

That's enough for now, please govern yourselves accordingly!

Sometimes life happens...

I have a weekend booking for March 29th, 2025 for the beautiful Barns at Gunn Stewart Farms up for sale.
The bride paid the deposit of $1833.33.
Instead of losing the deposit, we'd like to sell it for $1500.
You would pay the bride the $1500. You'd sign new contracts with Gunn Stewart and you'd get full credit of $1833.33 toward your balance.

Antiquing, where history meets shopping!✴️

Lisa Anne's Attic is a small business inside Romantic Farmhouse Antiques. After retiring from mortgage banking, I followed my heart and started dabbling in vintage finds and antique furniture in an 88 square foot booth. After 11 years I have three booths including a General Store to include delicious gourmet coffee, local raw honey, goat's milk soaps & lotions and much more.☕️🍯🐐

I work tirelessly on my antique furniture salvaging everything I possibly can.♻️ It's not a glamorous job, but it's most definitely a fulfilling one. I also do custom paint jobs at my shop when my schedule allows it.🎨 Please message me if you are interested.
