Happy Mother’s Day!!

The day I became a mom to this sweet little fella will forever be etched into my brain! Nothing can truly prepare you for motherhood. Being in the business we are in, I can’t help but to watch every Mother & Son(Groom) Dance and wonder where this crazy life is going to take my baby. And my baby he will always be, even when he’s bigger than me! (Which won’t be too many years from now.)

Couldn’t let the day go by without wishing a very Happy 6th Anniversary to the ones who helped start it all for us!
We cherish the the memories and time spent planning with them when we were building. We get to laugh a lot (and I sometimes get a little teary) about how much we learned that day and the stories we still get to tell. Definitely one for the books!

Last weekend was a whirlwind of events! From rain on Friday and Saturday morning, to a beautiful double rainbow, to the transition of sunny skies mid-Saturday, only to be surprised by more rain just an hour before the ceremony began. Despite the unpredictable weather, our easygoing bride opted for an indoor setup, maintaining her calm demeanor throughout.

Wedding days, as I’ve mentioned before and will likely repeat again, can be incredibly unpredictable. While I’m someone who thrives on having a plan, sometimes we all need to embrace flexibility. Life isn’t flawless, and nothing is guaranteed. If you’re fixated on things going a certain way, chances are they won’t unfold exactly as expected.

Allison (and Josh too!) were an absolute joy to work with. Embracing life’s curveballs, Allison navigated each unexpected twist with grace and humor.

Despite the challenges, the day unfolded beautifully, with a heartfelt and thoughtful ceremony. (Who could forget the adorable Ring Security escorting the rings in a remote control car, to the tune of “Mr. Steal Your Girl”?) It was a day filled with countless touching moments.

We have been receiving a lot of requests for photos taken on our property before prom this year. Unfortunately for the prom goers, we have a wedding that day so we will be unable to allow photos to be taken as to respect our bride and groom for their special day.

Please remember all photo sessions must be planned in advance in order to be placed on our calendar and to avoid interfering with other events/bookings.

If rain on your wedding day is good luck…then these two are truly in for the best life together!

It basically rained the whole day this past Saturday. And Autumn…God bless her…seriously embraced the whole day as if it didn’t damper her spirit one bit.

It’s always a hard decision figuring out what to do. Checking 6 different weather apps every 5 minutes trying to get at least half of them to agree on the forecast. For a little while Saturday morning, I was hopeful we were going to have a break in the rain to still have the ceremony outside. But 2 hours before the ceremony was to start, the forecast changed to what looked no break until later that night.

I hate having to give brides that daunting question of whether to do things inside, or take a chance in standing in the rain outside. I’m always down for whatever the bride or groom wants, but also want to make sure they understand the consequences of the aftermath too. {Example…Even if you hold an umbrella, the bottom half of you will still get wet and you need all family and bridal party portraits taken afterwards. Do you mind if those pictures show wet clothes/hair?}

Luckily, they did still get a few outside photos without too much rain coming down.

Thank you to both Autumn and Zach for being so easy going and understanding given the circumstances!
