Please be patient as we navigate through the next few weeks! I'm working as hard as I can and am trying my best to stay on top of it all! Thank you for your continued support! We appreciate each and every one of you! ❤️
Warning! Long post ahead!
So some of you know, my dad, Frank, had been admitted to the hospital last December with some complications. After almost a week in the hospital, it was finally determined that he was having several issues, including some kidney difficulty.
We were referred to a specialist & after one outpatient procedure & many tests, we discovered he had Renal Cell Carcinoma. They were able to remove it robotically & save the kidney! He had another small follow-up procedure done & they have been monitoring him. Although his numbers haven't exactly gotten much better, they are stable & that's excellent news! Thank You Jesus!
Unfortunately, he began to experience acid reflux pretty severely again. It's a problem he's had most of his life & has actually had a surgery year ago to try to resolve it. So they set him up for a scope to check it. During that scope, they found a large tumor inside his esophagus causing all the problems. Biopsy confirmed. Adenocarcinoma-Esophagus cancer.
After a PET Scan, it's confirmed he also has 3 more smaller nodules right around the large one. Our first set of doctors for kidneys were absolutely amazing! This second set, were another story. After fighting the battle for some better drs, nurses and a surgeon, God finally blessed us with the best set I believe there will be! We're back on track & things are moving so smoothly & quickly!
After 2 weeks of round the clock dr appts getting this all set up, a new team and all his tests run, we're almost ready to start radiation & chemo. I am so grateful God has paved this path to amazing drs, treatment & healing & I KNOW he's here cruising right along with us as we start this process. Please keep us on your prayers the next 6-8 weeks as we start the battle to fight this.
Typically, this cancer would end with dad getting surgery to remove the nodules after treatment. However, after speaking with the surgeon today, dad's past surgeries would make it extremely difficult, complex & VERY HIGH RISK. So, dad has opted out of that. But that's ok! If I were in his shoes, I would have done the same thing. So... we need every prayer we can get for total healing through this process. My God is BIGGER than anything on this earth & I KNOW he can heal dad completely! Only God can perform miracles & I KNOW HE WILL!
PLEASE bind with us in prayer as we face this! Dad & I are both already completely exhausted this year & we will be driving back & forth everyday. For those that order from me, please be patient! I've been doing my best to keep up with work & dad, but it may get a little crazy as we do this. I've been blessed with a great family that's been helping as much as they can! Keep us all in your prayers!
I KNOW GOD'S GOT THIS! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
PRAYERS FOR DAD! ❤️❤️❤️
