Come out tonight and support the Burcham 1st grade classes in their spring music program. This event is free to the public. There will be two performances:

1st performance will be at 6:00 pm, and the 2nd performance will be at 6:45 pm.

If you’re looking for something special to do this weekend, you won’t want to miss the WHS production of “Alice in Wonderland”. There are several opportunities to see this amazing performance:

We are so excited because the PAC is currently back to a full year of productions. This Sunday we will kick everything off with the WMS/WHS Fall Choir Concert. However, this year is a little different, the time of the concert has been changed. It begins at 3:00 pm this year. Doors will open at 2:30 pm. The cost is free to the public.

Please come out and support the middle school and high school fine arts programs this weekend at the PAC. It will be an afternoon filled with beautiful music!

It has been quite some time since Weatherford High School had a group of students compete in the OSSAA Theatre Arts One-Act Competition. This year that all changed, and this group of young talented actors and actresses made it to the Regional competition, performed very well and qualified for State competition. Congratulations to Mrs. De la Plaine and the WHS theatre students on this great accomplishment!

Also, a big congratulations goes out to Chase Dawson (in the role of Edgar Allen Poe) who made the Regional All Star Cast!

UPDATED PERFORMANCE TIMES: There are only two performances and both are on Friday.

Get ready to take a trip under the sea with The Little Mermaid. Come out and support the Weatherford Middle School students as they bring this beloved classic to life on the PAC stage. Performances are this Friday, May 7th. There will be one afternoon performance open to the public at 1:00 pm (doors will open at 12:15 pm), and then the evening performance will begin at 7:00 pm, and doors will open at 6:15 pm. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Ticket prices:
Adults - $10
Students and children (Pre-K through 12th grade)- $5

You will not want to miss this wonderful production!

So proud of our WHS students!

The Weatherford High School choir and band recently competed at the OSSAA State Competitions in Elk City, bringing home high marks. The WHS choir received superior ratings in on-stage performance and sight reading.

This weekend you will have an opportunity to come and enjoy a production of “The Raven”. This is being performed by the WHS theatre class students under the direction of Ashby de la Plaine. The theatre department would love for you to come and support the fine arts of WHS. They are accepting any and all donations at the door.

The PAC is opening back up! Kicking off the spring performances is “The Raven” performed by the students of the WHS Theatre classes. I know this is last minute, but we’ve had to wait on renovations of the stage to be completed. While we are still waiting on a couple of parts to arrive and be installed, the stage is ready to go.

Come by the PAC Lobby tomorrow evening and meet Jill Henderson, the future superintendent of WPS. Weatherford Public School faculty and staff will have the opportunity to meet with her from 4:00pm - 5:00pm, and then all of the Weatherford community will have their opportunity for a meet & greet from 5:00pm - 6:00pm.

Jill Henderson, formerly superintendent of Canute, has been named new Weatherford Public Schools Superintendent following a meeting of the school board Monday evening. A reception will be Wednesday afternoon at the WPS Performing Arts Center from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. to meet Henderson. The reception is open to the public.
