Live music from starting around 5:30!
We do not have a food truck for tonight so feel free to bring food.
We will have a nice big campfire going to keep you toasty while you’re listening to tunes and having a cold beverage from our bar!

Update from JuneBug. Got a signal along the highway. As ya’ll know, the property is on a flood plain. It was terrifying. Charlene and I, my mom, Kate, Greta and all the Alpaca are ok. Still no power, no water and running out of food like everyone else. Thankful to be alive:)

Our globetrotting daughter is back home! Although Kate is just 24 years old today, she has already been to 20 countries. She has hitched rides on slow boats down the Amazon, surfed down volcanoes in Nicaragua, taken rickety buses across the mountains in Central America, crowd surfed concerts in Portugal and tamed wild horses in Wyoming. She has funded all of this herself while taking online college classes.

Kate has always been courageous. She has never found her identity (or safety) through others. She’s definitely not a sorority girl. She realizes that life is fleeting and is experiencing as much of it as possible.

Kate has always been a kind soul. Even after all she has seen and done, she is more likely to ask you about your travels rather than to tell you about her own. As you can tell, I am a proud parent.

We only have her for a couple of months. She is off to Laos, the Philippines, Vietnam and the rest of SE Asia.

The Creek Lounge will be open tonight from 5-8 pm! We’ve been watching the weather and it looks like it’s gonna be a bit rainy but no more than usual. We will have music under the big tent with ample seating.
Our Thursday night concert series continues with Greg Candle!

Greg is a storyteller, songwriter, author and entertainer living near Asheville, North Carolina. He is the creator of a place he calls Bunkum County — a place “where days are sweet and time moseys on.”

To attend his performance is to experience the people, places and events of Bunkum County. Greg does this through his humorous and heartfelt stories and songs many of which are taken from his book, A Bunkum County Almanak, and its companion recording, “The Ballads of Bunkum County”.

Deli Volv food truck will be back serving up stone oven subs and next level salads!!

Definitely get out in the woods the next few days if you live in Western North Carolina. Six weeks of dry and two weeks of solid rain have really made the mushrooms pop. I took all these in a quarter mile of trail at JuneBug from the greenhouse to the Treehouse.
