The Farm is holding on to the last vestiges of fall with everything it has! What a beautiful day it was with the Bradford Pear trees only now starting to let go of their leaves! And the pampas grasses have no shame; they’re showing themselves in all their glory! It’s never the same look twice and we’re here for it!

On this day 4 years ago, we were wrapping up what turned out to be just the best day at Pig Hill! My sister and a very dear friend got married, both who had previously been widowed far too young in life. The day itself was fun and windy and beautiful but most of all, it was the start of something meaningful and really beautiful - just as we hope it is for all the couples who get married here! So Happy Anniversary, Linda Myers Tenney and Joseph and here’s to many, more ! We love you 😘 !

Here at Pig Hill, the mountains are greening up and so far in 2023 we’ve been delighted to donate the venue for the Middle School Spring Formal, the WV Young Writers Banquet and the upcoming WC Community Fund Party. We really do appreciate the opportunity to share our space with others. But tomorrow, for the first time, wedding season kicks off here in April, and we have a full calendar for the rest of the year! We sure appreciate all the people who help with these events and those who help us keep the venue in great shape and get it ready for another season of love, fun, and great memories. We’re grateful for every one of you! So here’s to another amazing year at Pig Hill Farm and Vineyard, where you come for the views and stay for the fun!

My friend/colleague Craig Sears said to me today that I was checking the weather “like it was my wedding”. He was right - I get really nervous every wedding Saturday because I never want any couple to be disappointed because of a rainstorm. But, in true Pig Hill Farm fashion, it can rain all week, thunderstorm right up till the ceremony and suddenly, the sun will shine! And, we’re so very thankful. It’s just a wedding, yes, but we sure always hope for the very best weather day for everyone who chooses to start their new lives with us!!

So, unfortunately, our couple scheduled for September 17th,2022 have had to move their wedding to 2023. That leaves that date open for a wedding at Pig Hill.
