Welcome to Monday Artisan Spotlight, where each week we will feature a talented artisan. This week we are featuring Rina .
Rina creates beautiful silver and gemstone jewelry, inspired by nature and ranging from pendants and earrings to rings, bracelets and cuffs.
She uses Argentium sterling silver, which is made from 100% recycled silver and is tarnish-resistant.
The aspects of nature that inspire her are mountains and the ocean. She feels a deep connection to both, having lived in Alaska, upstate N.Y, Montana, New Mexico, and the Florida coast.
Her inspired pieces are sometimes part of a collection, like her recent Larimar collection. Sometimes they are custom requests. They are always intricately designed with careful attention to detail and cut and soldered completely by Rina.
Rina also loves her family and loves to travel, hike and bike all over the world. Check out her page for some wonderful photos of her journeys. Last year she brought back beautiful Murano glass from Italy and made some fabulous pieces with it.
We love Rina because she is not only an amazing supporter of other makers, but she is kind, funny (check out her Dad jokes) and incredibly creative!

Sue is extremely talented in her craft, and her artistic ability and attention to detail are second to none! You can see through the photos, the scope of her work is amazing. Here is Sue in her own words:
🔥 I’ve been doing pyrography (woodburning) for about 13 years and love it. It’s like working in front of a mini campfire every time I hit the studio to create. I opened my Etsy in 2014. My favorite part of my business is personalizing what I make.
My goal is to help people give personal gifts. Since I like options, I like to give my customers options, as well - whether it’s adding names, dates, or special phrases or food-grade colors to their items.
When I’m not burning, I love spending time with my kids and grandbabies, hanging out with friends, and reading.
So here are some things that may or may not be true about me…

1. I recently learned to belly dance.
2. I’ve climbed an active volcano in Guatemala.
3. Mangos, pineapple and raspberries are my favorite fruits.

As MAY starts the wedding season 💕 here’s one of my previous Bridal Bouquets to remind you of what I love to work on = custom keepsake 💐 bouquets!
📸the featured bouquet was a set of flowers that included the bride’s bouquet, the groom’s boutonnière, and 24 other varied boutonnières that she gifted her family.
This bouquet was extra special as it was folded with the pages of a book written by her grandfather. 🫶

Hi friends, I’ve talked about this custom wedding bouquet on a previous post, so now I’ll talk about this beautiful photoshoot!
The amazing photographer agreed to take some photos for me with my daughter as a model, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. (More photos to be shared soon!🤩)
Here’s why… I lost count of how many custom bouquets that I’ve made, both commissioned and made as gifts from me, that once ready, I quickly wrapped and shipped without any photos, due to the anxiety to get them on their way to my client or gifted friend…
And many times I have been promised a copy of the professional photos taken at their weddings or special event, but not received any.
I may receive photos from this client after their upcoming wedding, but nonetheless I wanted to make sure I would have some beautiful shots of it. Besides adding the talent of Raph who did a fantastic job taking such beautiful photos with one of my favorite models… my girl Serena-nene 🫶
🤪I had to draw which one to post because I couldn’t choose my favorite… 🤩

❤️🌱💚 If you fold it bigger it will look like a tulip… small can be a cup flower or calyx… it’s super easy and cute! I found it by accident years ago as it is part of a traditional fold of many models… then I decided to fold it in a pentagon, hexagon… it is just very basic and simple! I like to share a little bit of my process often to have your understand how special my flowers are! I’m making single boutonnières here, but each of them have multiple parts to be folded, most of them require me to fold at least five squares, sometimes more, and the tiny squares are the hardest to fold.
