about-designs is a family business started in 2011 by sisters Sonya and Eva. Floral Design Services: floral & botanicals are based on the season, type of plant/flower, quantity and size of the event. Budgets are strictly adhered to and creative solutions can be achieved at any price point. Interior Design Services: space planning; sourcing of furniture, lighting, fabrics, antiques and materials; construction supervision; and purchasing.

Nine years ago when we were first starting out, we considered ourselves lucky to work on 5 events in 6 months. Sonya had a full time job as an interior designer for a hotel brand and we picked up projects for the nights/weekends. At the time, we didn’t have the great team we now have.

Last week we had the pleasure of working on 5 events in a matter of 4 days. And we even had to turn people away because of the full schedule. All of these clients were via recommendations of friends or previous clients. It’s something we’re extremely proud of ❣️

While it may seem one step closer to Fall, the summer season isn’t over till September 22nd. We’re still loving all white jeans, beach weather and farmer markets. You’ll never find us at Homegoods with armfuls of plaid throws and fake pumpkins! At least not till October 😉

Pink and blue: the colors we typically associate with baby genders. Why, when a color is a color? And they are for everyone.

Looking forward to a busy season ahead of corporate galas, fundraisers and team building events. Here we worked with the Museum of Jewish for their always sold out ladies tea luncheon. The delicate spring blooms paired with lavender linens really transformed the room!

A colorful floral design is just the perfect thing you need in your big day!

We loved working with this bold & bright summer color palette for Abigail & Juri’s wedding. Originally wanting a Fall wedding, we chose dark colors with summertime feeling appropriate for a July day!

A classic New York City space for a timeless aesthetic. Gina & Jiyoung chose to celebrate with a rooftop ceremony & luncheon for only 30 of their closest family + friends!

June is already behind us and now we’re in full on Summer mode!

How would you feel about a different centerpiece on every table? If each arrangement is treated like a work of art where no two are the same. Surely it was a challenge as the designer to source all flowers and create the color story. But the outcome was well worth the effort. With its minimal interior aesthetic, Maritime Parc served as the perfect backdrop for all the colors!

A well designed brasserie is always a great spot to host a memorable event. We love a classic a long table paired with thonet bistro chairs and white subway tiles!

Time always goes by faster the first year. Congratulations Stephanie & Brendan 🥂
