Congratulations to Andrew and Kelly!!! What a beautiful day for a fall wedding at . The wedding planner was Kristen Baumbach with Details. She knocked it out of the park with all her ideas to fill the space! It was definitely team work and fun working on this one!

Flowers from my little garden. Gone are the rows and rows of cut flowers but I still enjoy my little bit of heaven. I especially love being able to harvest from it to use in my wedding work! Yesterday I cleaned out some of the celosia beds and started planting some fall vegetables as the weather is about to finally start acting like fall.

It’s hot and it’s August but the garden is still surviving thanks to a very simple irrigation system that is on a timer. I can leave for a few days and it doesn’t die because you know if it doesn’t get water in Texas, it’s not gonna make it! Honeysuckle is good with the heat. Transplants waiting to go out next week only make it with daily monitoring so if you plan on leaving for a bit someone has to come water them. Okra loving the heat! African Blue basil which can only be grown from propagation because this basil does not have seed. The bees really love this one! Celosia is a real trooper in our heat. Zinnias really thrive in the heat as long as you keep them watered. Loving my little summer garden!

Finally and I mean FINALLY made it down to visit my dear grower friend Jenifer Wilson. I’ve known her for years and years and now that I’m retired from growing flowers I had time to slip away and come visit her. Loved our little visit and thanks to her recommendation we enjoyed a good little local place with great food and entertainment in Port Isabel. It’s always fun to go where the locals go and they sure know how to have fun at

I’m making bouquets today. If you would like a bouquet, please text me at 1 (979) 561-6162 or message me. I’m also taking bouquets to @houndsongbrewery in Columbus later today. Bouquets are 20.00 each and contain lots of the beautiful long lasting lisianthus.

So good for the soul and mind to be able to do what I love. Snapdragons for days!!! Have you ever seen so many in bloom? This is a row I planted back in October and harvested off of till the hard freeze at the end of 2021. The row survived the winter and now is blooming. All the freezes pinched the plants and now they are covered with sprays of beautiful snaps great for all the bees and butterflies.
