Step 1: Pick a theme, color scheme and team. This year we went with “Oh Night Divine” and did dark blue velvet, a mix of metals, some sparkles and earthy tones. For my team I selected one older and one younger to bring in some nice diversity.
Step 2: Find everything you can at Dollar Tree that’ll work for your tree and figure out ways to vamp them up. Don’t be afraid to test an idea out on the spot-they love that.
Step 3: Order cool odds and ends from Temu & your ribbon from Amazon.
Step 4: Keep snacking to keep the morale & energy levels up.
Step 5: Go through all your Christmas totes in your pole barn and see what you have that you can use while trying not to get distracted by a memory box of your whole life.
Step 6: Pluck all of the goatheads out of your shoes.
Step 7: Prep all of your new ornaments & repurpose the old.
Step 8: Stay hydrated-we highly recommend a Bloody Mary 🍸.
Step 9: Realize the blue snowflakes were too blue and panic spray paint them in a well ventilated area. Don’t leave them unattended or your damn dog may end up using them as a chew toy.
Step 10: FaceTime one of your girlfriends while she’s at Hobby Lobby and have her grab some fun picks for you. Again, stay hydrated 🍷.
Step 11: Load, unload and unpack your tree. Fluffing your tree is suuuuper important but make someone else on your team do it because it’s the worst part. Step 12: Start with your ribbon and larger ornaments and work your way to your smaller, more intricate pieces.
Step 13: Get yourself some lunch but don’t forget the forks!!
Step 14: Second guess everything about everything. Final & Most Important Step: Have a blast and make some core memories.
This method may not work for everyone, so just find what does and go with it!!

I was supposed to donate a centerpiece to a silent auction for Arrow-Heart Adventure Camps last Saturday; completely ran out of time. Had a gift certificate to take down there instead and my busy little husband forgot it-bless his heart.

If you were to ask me on a deeper level I would say definitely cosmos; the papery, delicate daisy-like flower that bounces and dances through life seemingly carefree but takes their job very seriously and that everyone looks up to and strives to be like.

As much as I talk about fall weddings being my favorite, I’m a spring bride myself. We got engaged end of November and just wanted to get right down to it (and ya, I mean that in every sense of the phrase 🤭).
So every fall bouquet I design has a little bit of that freak in it.

We’ve been able to take a little breather this week and put together some fun fall stuff (ok, actually just this one pumpkin but we’re really on a roll over here!!).

It’s hard to find the oomph to do the things you wanna do when you’re doing the things you gotta do & oughtta do.

This is the part where I would ask you to tell me the things you wanna do when you get through doing the gotta do’s and the oughtta do’s but you as****es always leave me hanging 😂

We’ve got a man who has flowers delivered to his sister in her skilled nursing facility twice a month, every month.
Sometimes we design something that is long-lasting and not super fussy.
