As someone who has lived through a disaster such as Hurricane Maria, I’ve seen firsthand how devastating it is to lose your home, not knowing how to build your life back up from 0 or how it’s going to continue on afterward or having to leave your county/ state because of that. The fires in Los Angeles have created the same scenario for so many people. People who have lost their homes and their loved ones and not know where to go or how to even continue. I would like those who are affected by the fires to have the help they need to be able to build themselves up, the help they need to be okay mentally and have what they need for food and shelter.
So, as this crisis continues, we are offering a special event. When you book a 1- hour coaching session or join our Talent Inner Circle, we will donate all of the proceeds to the Red Cross Relief Efforts.

We all have an inner voice. Sometimes, they can be our best cheerleaders; other times, they can be what brings us down. It’s really important to see when either one comes out and pinpoint WHY they come out. Is it really a gut feeling, or is it just fear?

This just in, for our Fruition Friday we have our insanely inspiring Stacy Berro! Stacy is a bilingual voice actor who does commercial, character and “everything in between”! She is currently working on a few video game character projects, a commercial for a law firm, and finishing an e-learning project. You can find her as Alice in the Lau Lapides Radio Theatre version of Alice in Wonderland part 1, as the Imaging Voice and feature contributor on VO Radio, and on the radio’s live show: Let’s Talk VO.

This just in, Mama Lau says: “Show up as yourself. Authentically real and true. Don't "put it on" or play a pitch, or act as a seller. But come as your highest, truest self, and know that you are enough.”

We may be voice actors/ actors, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we need to be acting all the time because then we’d be pushing people away. Be yourself.

Happy New Year! Isn’t the beginning of an entire year so exciting? Mama Lau sure does know how to make people feel excited and hopeful for the New Year— well in general, but especially now. It’s time to celebrate our wins from the previous year and start planning this year ahead (if you haven’t done so already). Here’s to the new year!

This just in, it's NEW YEAR'S EVE!!! I'm super excited to see what the upcoming year has in store. In other news, our amazing correspondent Brin has some words to say regarding 2024: "This year has been a year of setting and smashing goals. From diving deeper into writing for the Lau of Attraction blogs to making major strides on long-term projects and submitting work to literary magazines, it’s been a journey of growth and discovery, and learning how to get done exactly what I need. (...) Ultimately, this year has reinforced the power of setting clear goals and following through. It’s about knowing what you want, finding the tools to get there, and celebrating every victory, big or small."

This certainly has been a rather interesting yet exciting year. Here's to the new year!!

This just in, for our final Sage Sunday of the Year, Mama Lau says: “So you may be worried about just not having that extra cash for what it is you want and need this season to elevate your business, update your equipment, or hire that new virtual assistant. We know the feeling, but get over it. No more digging under the sofa cushions for coins, or looking down for extra change while walking the dog. Learn to budget precisely and consistently, and you will find the money you need for your next career investment. Cut out luxuries for 1 month, and see how far you go, i.e. expensive coffee and lattes, too many Uber rides, that outfit you love but can't fit in your closet, and that extra trip out for dinner that really left you high and dry. Save it and use it for the long term. You'll be happier.”

Budgeting is essential whether you’re in the Acting / Voice-over industry or not. It becomes crucial when it comes to doing anything business-related, and you find that you can’t afford anything that might help you progress further in your career. Learning to keep a budget with your business and personal life in mind is vital to being successful in your career.
