We are so excited for this new event to be in Wellington! ☘️

☘️❗️☀️ SAVE THE DATE: MARCH 15 ☘️❗️☀️

The Town of Wellington, the Wellington CO Main Street Program and the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering to offer a new event in 2025! The St. Paddy's Parade & Festival is set for March 15 in Downtown Wellington. The event features a parade celebrating St. Patrick's Day and a spring vendor fair featuring local businesses. More details coming soon!

The winners of our holiday decoration contest have finally been chosen! The likes and comments have been counted and our committees have voted! The Awards:
1. Best Overall Display ($100) – Awarded to the most impressive and festive storefront, scoring highest across all judging criteria.(judged by representatives from Design and Promo committees)
2. People’s Choice ($75) – Celebrates a business with an exceptionally imaginative and original display that stands out from the rest. (Community vote)

Winners are:
Best Overall Display = Wellington Grill
People’s Choice = Wellington Auction Services

Some of Santa’s elves have gone missing in downtown Wellington and we need your help to find them before Christmas Eve! Pick up your playing card from Owl Canyon Coffee Wellington and then find the elves hiding in the windows of 8 Main Street businesses! Drop off your completed card in the mailbox inside Owl Canyon by December 24th for your chance to win a $200 gift card!

I hope you're all having a wonderful day! Last week I created a poll to see if there was any interest in residents providing donated lights to assist in decorating downtown for the season. Many were excited to assist so here is the follow through with additional information and a link to order. I am asking that you only purchase this lighting set so we can keep them consistent.

After discovering that our town has minimal and outdated holiday lights, I felt inspired to create an opportunity for us to brighten up Main Street without dipping into taxpayer dollars.

I've set up a live link where you can easily purchase a strand of lights to donate! Your contributions will help light up our community and will become the property of the Town of Wellington for future festive displays.

If I can get 20 - 30 strands donated I will personally fund an installer to come and set them in place for the holidays. The goal is to get the strands donated/delivered and installed for the Holiday parade on December 7th !

Let's come together to make our town sparkle this holiday season! 🎄✨

Thank you so much to our partners at the Colorado Department of Local Affairs for attending and presenting at our annual Open House last night. Every seat was filled and we're thrilled to follow up with the announcement of our new 2025 Board members!

We enjoyed our time in Wellington last night for the annual Wellington CO Main Street Program community dinner and awards. It was nice to present to the program's supporters about how we support them at the state level. Dinner was provided by many local restaurants, who donated signature items from their menus. We had time for some great conversations with the attendees, and we cannot say enough about the wonderful leadership and supporters of the program. Just two days away! Come and see all the work that was done in 2024 and our goals for 2025! Our partners from DOLA (Department of Local Affairs) will be attending and presenting. The event starts at 5:30, and the presentations at 6:00. We will have volunteer and business of the year awards that will be presented! Lastly, the attendees of the evening will vote on 2025 Board applicants. So please come and enjoy an evening with us!

Tonight at Mingle on Main, we had the BEST time awarding the Best Individual and Best Group Costume winners from Trick or Treat Down Main Steet.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the contest - there were MANY great costumes to choose from!
