"Kitty" Grit & Mirrors
Have you had the chance to see the new Gale Largey film? No?? Well luckily, we will have 2 more showings of "Kitty" Grit and Mirrors in the Coolidge Theatre! The first will be on Fri. June 9 at 7:30 PM and the second will be Thurs. June 15 at 8:00 PM. Admission is donations to the Deane Center.
Kathryn Crawford was born in Wellsboro and was the daughter of a glassworker. She dealt with many setbacks, but through sheer grit and a belief in the American Dream, she became a Hollywood movie star. During the 20s and 30s, she was in 18 films with many notable film stars like: Marie Dressler, Bing Crosby, Jimmy Durante, The Three Stooges, Robert Young, Hoot Gibson, Buddy Rodgers and many more. After her movie career, she became a nationally recognized interior decorator. Her work was featured three times in Architectural Digest. The homes of President Herbert Hoover, General Douglas MacArthur, Barron Hilton, and Mary Pickford were some of her notable clients.

The Jacob Jolliff Band is the next generation of bluegrass supergroups, led by one of the country's premier contemporary bluegrass mandolinists. Jolliff had the distinctive honor of being named the National Mandolin Championship winner. The band is a rotating quartet of some of the most virtuosic and innovative young acoustic pickers in the country, including Alex Hargreaves, on fiddle. Considered one of best improvising violinists in the world, Hargreaves is the winner of The Grand Masters Fiddle Championship. .Other members include Stash Wyslouch on guitar and bassists Myles Sloniker and Max Johnson.
