It’s been an overwhelming week. The state of our State - so many people’s lives shifted and changed forever, seeing the devastation that continued into NC and issues of war overseas, etc. Everywhere we’ve looked there’s been loss. While we aim our efforts to support our community, we’re thankful to be in an industry that’s focus is love.

Today, the cross becomes the best reminder of that for our heavy hearts. Praying for our community, our state, our country and our world. So much love, in action, is needed now more than ever!

Personal wedding planning tip…

This week we talked with a bride who was having a difference of opinion with her guy on a particular part of planning and here was our advice:
-if this is is hill to die on, don’t let him die. Listen to him.

We all know, this is your thing. You’ve got the vision for the flowers, the decor, the ambiance and experience of it all. But, this is an event about the BOTH of you. Yet, it’s rare that most guys are going to have large opinions on most of the details. So, when he does - listen and truly let his voice be heard. It might be his choice of suit color, the cake flavor he needs, your first dance song or wanting to enter the ceremony on a speed boat…

Don’t let him die on any hill - embrace the fact that he’s excited to plan with you and let him have the blue suit…or boat entrance. Either way, the best part of your day is him. Don’t forget that when the Pinterest boards seemingly take over your world.

We love when a bride listens to our heart and allows a slight pivot…

We had no first look with dad on the timeline. He had told her it wasn’t necessary to ensure she got everything else done.

However, when he anxiously arrived at the church ahead of schedule I got to talk with him. What I heard was a father eagerly awaiting a life changing day and all of the emotion hidden behind his best intention.

So, when she arrived I told her we should surprise him and sneak it in. Thankfully, the lovely .co was on board to make it a moment. What a sweet moment it was!
