How’s everyone’s Mother’s Day flowers looking today?

As a florist, I typically make arrangements for myself with the leftover flowers from orders. (Hate seeing flowers go to waste!) But for Mother’s Day, I actually hand picked the flowers I wanted. I’m loving all the colors and textures for this arrangement! 💕

Hello! Thought it would be good to introduce myself…

My name is Amber. I’m a mid-west girl who has lived in several states, but finally landed in Florida. ☀️
Some of my favorite childhood memories involve flowers… 6 years old, waking up early to go outside and see the morning glories in the front yard. 10 years old, planting and watching my sunflowers grow by the garden. And 14, making several bouquets from our huge lilac bush in the backyard. 🪻🪻🪻
Fast forward to 2 years ago; I was working at a local flower shop and Loving It! I loved creating bouquets and seeing the smiles that it brought to people’s faces. 💕Shortly after starting, the shop unfortunately had to shut down. After a few months of trying to figure out what to do next, I realized my town still needed a local florist.
So… I decided to start my own flower shop. 🙋🏻‍♀️
For now, I do all orders out of my home. But a brick & mortar store is a goal. Working with flowers is literally a dream come true, and I’m excited for what the future holds for my little business. 💐

Sometimes you need a ‘just because’ bouquet. 👌🏼Unpopular opinion, I love carnations! I feel like they bring a fun texture to a bouquet. Plus, their vase life is almost double that of a rose! What about you… carnations or no?
