My mom loves to take pictures of flowers. Ever since I was little she loved going out into her garden and photographing the blooms she planted and tended to.
This summer she got a once-a-month bouquet and sent me these photos she took of them.
I like to say the once a month bouquets are like a jounrey through the seasons on the flower farm. The spring bouquets are so botantical, highly scented with very airy and whimsical touches. Then comes summer with huge blooms like sunflowers and zinnias. Finally, the show stoppers pop in as we get into late summer with lush, dense dahlias that almost look like lotus blossoms. This bouquet was one of the showstoppers! Thanks for showing off your photography skills Mom. 😘

Oh my goodness I almost forgot. Shout out to all my gals for galentines day...I seriously didn't know this was a recognized thing, isn't everyday suppose to be a day you can say, "Hey girl, you rock, your doing a freaking fan-tab-ulous job at life, love, and all the things. I support you! If you need me I am here for you, today and everyday." Okay well I said it today and I'll say it as much as I can because I don't want you to forget. I Love ya!!!!

Such an opportunity!!

If you haven’t heard, we’re looking to grow our community! Lots of opportunities for land-based projects, 20 minutes south of downtown Milwaukee.

Living in community and sharing resources can seem daunting, but can be extremely rewarding for those who want to explore a housing structure that diverges from cultural norms.

Learning to better communicate and coexist with our neighbors (inside the house and next door), giving ourselves permission to depend on others and also be depended on, and having others around to share in the joy and despair that life brings, have all resulted from living in community with like-minded, albeit very different individuals.

If you’re someone who likes to get your hands dirty, has a collaborative attitude, and is looking to switch it up and try something new, let us know!

I'm learning the color wheel to increase my skills as a floral designer. Its fun to learn which colors combine to create which emotions. Flowers can be sent for so many reasons and all of life's biggest moments. The main one being talked about this week is LOVE, because Valentine's Day is this Friday. But, February 14th also happens to be my oldest nephew's 18th birthday, Woot woot, shout out to Miles. Love ya dude.

September Brides- What flowers are in season for your wedding? Wait what?! Why does this matter?
Lets start with the why. In season flowers can be sourced locally and are more cost effective! They also haven't been shipped, meaning they will look their best (we all know how we look at the end of a long flight)✈
Here are your showstopper flowers!
1.) Dahlias (shown on the left and right in burgundy)
2.) Lisianthus (shown on the left in pink)
3.) Zinnias (in the middle in cream/yellow)
4.) Sunflowers (on the right in white)

There are lots of choices in September for local florals, everything grows like crazy! I love this month to do wedding florals since there are so many options for styles! From classy and chic (left) to woodsy and magical (middle) to cottage bliss (right).

The MOST important thing about sourcing local blooms in your color palette and style is BOOK EARLY. Booking early, I am talking like 6-8 months, ensures I can plant all the beautiful things in your color palette. This is the most cost effective option for you. Lisianthus are such a fresh change from grandma's roses, they do look similar but they are so much more airy and delicate. They can really create that romantic, timeless look! Dahlias are just so beautiful with a distinct look. They remind me of a lotus flower with all their gorgeous petals creating such rhythm and texture.
