WEDDING SEASON!!! With renovations of the barn continuing, we hosted our first large scale wedding of close to 150 guests. All involved enjoyed the beautiful weather, the beautiful landscape and scenery and all of the beautiful original features of the barn we have worked so hard to preserve. we were grateful to have been able to provide the space, venue and amenities for our guests and extend our prayers to the young couple for blessings throughout their marriage. https://coveredbridgeestate.com/

QBee-HONEY from COVERED BRIDGE ESTATE!! Did you know that not only are we working toward building what we plan to be Wisconsin’s most beautiful wedding and event venue, but also continues to be an operational agricultural farm? More than half of the 72 acres are currently farmed and we continue to recapture neglected parts on the farm for additional farming. This summer marks the second season of honey harvesting, expanding the number of bee boxes we have producing honey, and also another successful season of sunflowers 🌻 and pumpkins🎃. To further beautify the land and add magnificent flavor to the honey, we have also planted buckwheat and zinnias and hope to be adding significant wildflowers through the years to come. In addition, we’ve added a couple of additional apple trees🍎 (Honeycrisp) to add to the existing apple trees and pear trees. Our first attempt at sweet corn is a mixed bag as the early planting got crushed by the drought but the later crop appears to be growing well, so stay tuned for the corn 🌽. RAIN, HAIL, SNOW! We have had it all out at Covered Bridge Estate this week, but that hasn’t stopped us from beginning to landscape and prepare the fields both for farming and to continue to beautify the property for weddings and other events. A special thanks to Dean Fechter and Ken McKee for tending to the fields for planting and for Lee Schacht at LS Landscaping for continuing to manicure the property.
