When I was packing to leave AMI before Hurricane Ian, my first priorities were my photos and my children’s memory boxes. I can’t imagine not having had the time to get those to safety. I’m so sorry to all of those who have lost so much to this devasting storm.

In an effort to help, I will be offering {3 Complimentary Mini Sessions} to those who lost their photos to Hurricane Ian. If anyone knows of a fam that may want a photography session, please send them my way. I can be flexible with the dates as I know so many are displaced and unsettled at the moment.

I’m cancelling all shoots for the remainder of the week. All camera gear, computers and media drives are getting packed tonight for transport off the island tomorrow morning. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience. All deposits and monies will be refunded. Thank you and please stay safe!! 🙏🏻

This is why I struggle with making the right call during summer months. Lightening is no joke. Our summer storms are full of lightening. This is the lightening capitol. So if I ever reschedule a session, this is part of what I am factoring in. Photographs are precious but not worth a tragedy like this!!

Tragic reminder of how dangerous our Florida lightning can be. A "bolt from the blue" struck a child at the the Williams Park Boat Ramp in Riverview today at 4:05. Our lightning detection network shows there was no rain when the strike occurred. The rain was still about 5 to 10 minutes out. If you hear thunder, you're close enough to be struck. Stay safe out there folks. Just awful. 😪
