December 12th is National Poinsettia Day! We look forward to hosting these beauties every year for the holiday season. Some fun facts about the poinsettia:
❤️Poinsettias are native to Mexico and can grow up to 15 feet tall there, thriving as more of a small tree than a houseplant.
❤️The brightly-colored leaves of the poinsettia are often mistaken for their flowers. Poinsettia flowers are actually those small yellow flowers (called cyathium) clustered in the center of the leaves.
❤️The shorter days and longer nights of early winter cause poinsettias to bloom this time of year.
