PSA for those looking to hire for a Taquiza or Self-serve or Catering event in general:

Sorry in advance for the long list but I’ll try to keep it short.if you happen to read all the way through let me just say.. I appreciate your time! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

-If you have a BUDGET, please inform the business you are looking to hire. Please be realistic with your budget.

Example: You order McDonalds for 30ppl @ $10/per person plus tax you’re at about $325 give or take. You will get what you paid for. Let’s just say.. the quality will not be up to par.

Good rule of thumb: Imagine you are inviting all your guest to a restaurant and you are paying for everyone to eat. You expect good service and quality food. Any restaurant with guest over 5 or more people is automatic gratuity included.

-Please understand that INFLATION is real. Inflation increased about 3.5% in March 2024.

Sure… you can go to the store, buy the same things and make it yourself… but who wants to put in the time & effort to cook before and possibly during the party… NO ONE!

-TIME IS MONEY.

Put yourself in the shoes of a business owner running as a 1-2 man team. Prep time begins a week before the event and MAJORITY OF THE PREP happens 1 day prior to event to ensure all goes as planned.

-RESPECT

Respect the craft, time & effort.
People are quick to be rude & dismissive but would not like to be treated the same. Give props when they are due and don’t be so quick to bash a mistake. If businesses are doing their best to correct or make up for it.. appreciate it!
