Blue Moon Ballroom We are a full service social dance studio. Group classes throughout the week, private lessons by appointment, and First Friday party each month except December.

Founded in 2011, Blue Moon Ballroom is a full-service dance studio in West Columbia's growing River District. Dance instructors Jim Williamson, Zan Wallach, Eric Blair, and Conrad Haas offer lively group classes and private lessons in all the popular smooth and rhythm social dances—Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Salsa, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Cha-Cha, Samba, Bolero, American Tango, Mambo, Mere

ngue—as well as Carolina S**g. Come find your dance! Wedding dances are among our specialties. Our dance parties sometimes feature a live band. Annual parties include our Swing in the New Year, Hearts & Jazz (Valentine's Day), Once in a Blue Moon (whenever a real Blue Moon is on the astronomical calendar), and March Madness. In addition, we hold weekly open dances every Friday of the month—everyone is welcome.

Don't miss out on the excitement on January 3rd! First Friday party begins at 7:30pm. Kick-start the year with an unforgettable dance experience! Refreshments and beverages will be provided, but you can b.y.o.b. Savor fantastic dance music and a spacious area perfect for socializing. Invite a friend to join in the fun! Tickets are $15 per person. Parking is available on the street or in the parking garage at the end of the building.

Led by Ballroom dance instructor Jim Williamson, the ballroom offers lively group classes and private lessons in all the popular smooth and rhythm social dances—Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Salsa, East Coast Swing, Cha-Cha, Samba, Bolero, American Tango, Mambo, Merengue—as well as Carolina S**g. Come find your dance! Wedding dances are among our specialties. Our dance parties often feature a live band. Annual parties include our Swing in the New Year, Hearts & Jazz (Valentine's Day), Once in a Blue Moon (whenever a real Blue Moon is on the astronomical calendar), and March Madness. In addition, we hold monthly open dances from March through October on the third Friday of the month—everyone is welcome. Along with classes and lessons, we offer venue rentals for meetings, concerts, and special events.
