Did you know that we aren’t only wedding florists? For the months of November and December, we take an “I do” rest and focus full steam ahead on commercial holiday installations. We get the opportunity to travel the state, spreading holiday cheer.
This past weekend we took our team of 25 to take down Bank of America’s headquarters in Charlotte, pictured here. 8 box trucks later, it’s down and home tucked snuggly in the warehouse for next year. I’d like to leave the 💪🏻 emoji but truthfully I am super sore today 🤪
Thankful for a hard working team year round and one that’s always up for adventures. Whether that’s a 50ft tower tree in the middle of the night or a custom wedding installation. They are THE BEST 🤍

•Back to the Heart of Worship•

I’ve spent my first few days of 2024 sick, but like many of you, it’s given me some time to reflect with thankfulness and awe on 2023 and an opportunity to realign for what this next year holds.

I was journalling with the Lord on NYE, and I felt He spoke “Let’s get back to the heart of worship.” ((Anybody else go back to FCA mornings with that song?!))I can apply this to so many areas of my everyday. And when you look at the pie chart of my life, By Design takes residence in a pretty big slice, and my work is most definitely an act of worship.

I don’t post on here often… mainly because it’s hard for me. Need a giant backdrop for your big day? Let’s do it! 💪🏻 Post a photo on socials? ehhhh… 🫠Are the photos seasonally appropriate? How many hashtags do I really need? Why did it take me an hour to write a caption that isn’t even that impressive?

So here goes my first of many posts of 2024. I can’t say they’ll all be eloquent, professionally taken or even timely, but I can promise they’ll be beautiful. Because what we do is beautiful. We have the opportunity to come alongside talented vendor friends and serve incredible people on one of the most memorable days of their lives. I get to listen to loud music and chat with my buddies while we use creation to design a part of that memory. And I want to do better sharing more of this beautiful journey with you.
I’m so blessed to do this work alongside all of you. Thanks for following, thanks for letting us serve you, thanks for letting us work side by side. I’m getting back to the heart of worship this year 🤍
