It is exactly as it sounds, a venture to build from the ground up, to rebuild, to create within new enviroments, a shop that represents a grassroots, down in the dirt, hard work required to create new form. The Shop came into existance on its own terms, as a BYOB venue that wanted to present amazing live National, Regional and Local bands for those outside the norm. Just over a year ago the journe
y began with national artists Faster Pussycat and BulletBoys, alongside locals such as Kill The SKy and Go Steve Jones. With these shows becoming almost legendary parties that even the artists couldnt help but let loose at, more shows were planned. Dizzy Reed of Guns N Roses came in to tear the roof off of the place in true rock n roll style, which unbeknownst to those involved would be the final Shop event. Yet instead of letting anything or anyone stop what had began, The Shop Productions decided to step put into established venues in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Launching with the blistering sounds of Spineshank, a new home was found at The Legacy Ballroom, upstairs from the Pickled Parrot in Downtown Fargo. Proceeding to bring in acts such as 12 Stones, Blameshift, Digital Summer, 9Electric, Scattered Hamelt, the defining stake has been planted in the F/M area, The Shop Productions is here and planning on doing it up like none others in the area.
