At 4th Quarter Farm we not only deliver our flowers to seniors in assisted living, we've realized that we love to do memorial flowers. Understanding grief and the power of flowers gives us the opportunity to create and share with those who are at their lowest point.

As we head into the weekend, we are immensely grateful for the overwhelming support you all have shown us! Despite the issue with our freezer, we’re continuing to move forward and do what we do best. Here’s a recap of our week, featuring our volunteers, flowers, and furry friends who made it successful despite the challenges. We’ll update you all on our freezer issue as it comes. It's been a rough week here at our little farm. Over the weekend, our flower freezer, which we heavily depend on, broke down, making it impossible to pick, store, and process our flowers. We scheduled a repair worker to diagnose the problem, and thankfully, it's repairable. However, it could take up to a week before we get the necessary part.

Unfortunately, this means we won’t be able to carry out our usual flower deliveries to seniors this week, which is something we deeply care about. In the meantime, we have flowers ready to be picked and enjoyed, but with this heat, we're unable to store them.

We're asking for your help! Do you know anyone who might need a DIY bucket or bouquet? Perhaps a friend or a loved one who could use a bit of extra cheer? We have flowers ready and don’t want them to go to waste.

Our volunteers powered through the heat, worked hard and sent off 203 jars to seniors this week! If you are looking for a way to be apart of the 4th Quarter Farm Family we are ALWAYS in need of jars, packaging paper, and boxes.

In horticulture, a w**d is typically defined as an unwanted plant. Tansy ragwort often carries a negative reputation as a w**d by common standards. However, for cut flower enthusiasts like myself, this low-maintenance filler flower is cherished for its vibrant, dense blooms and cheerful demeanor. Similar to how Meg Ryan's character in "You've Got Mail" describes daisies as happy flowers, I believe tansy ragwort can also be seen in a positive light. It's about finding beauty in unexpected places in our gardens.

Soooo many flowers are in bloom this week! This is a carload of 106 bouquets going to seniors in assisted living this morning, carefully supervised by Boo BassetHound. Friday another 82 go out!
