Outdoor Film Screening Update ‼️
With rain in the forecast for the weekend, we wanted to provide an important update regarding the outdoor film screening.

--Tonight's screening (Friday) will proceed as scheduled, from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
--Due to anticipated rain tomorrow, Saturday's screening will be rescheduled to Sunday, also from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Trail Life USA Troop LA-0316 will be hosting the Campfire 5k Run on Saturday, November 16th at The Ike Hamilton Expo Center!

Race will begin at 7 A.M. There will be a dunking booth, smores station, trail mix station, water stations, and promotional booths for all ages after the race.

Community Salt will be presenting Community Showtime at The Ike on Friday, November 8 - Saturday, November 9 from 6:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. Attendance to this outdoor screening of The Chosen: Season 1 is free. Food trucks will be on-site.

Ainsley's Angels of America will host the AARS: 9th Annual Rollin On The River on Saturday, November 2 at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. Packet pickup will begin at 3 and the race will start at 5:30 p.m.

The Cotton Stakes Derby and Classic is currently taking place at Ike Hamilton Expo, ending this Saturday, Sept. 7. This horse show draws hundreds of visitors from all across the country and throughout the world to West Monroe.

Mayor Staci Mitchell had the opportunity to visit with some of the show's participants at The Ike including (from left) Robert Charles Brown, promoter of the Cotton Stakes Derby and Classic and show participant Giulio Gallazzi, who is from Italy. His trip to West Monroe marks his first time to show in the United States, and he said he loves West Monroe! Also in the photo are Ed Dufurrena, a trainer from Gainesville, TX and Mayor Mitchell.

We welcome all participants to our community and wish them a great show!

American Bucking Bull Inc-

The very best young bulls of the American Bucking Bull Inc (ABBI) will be making their way to West Monroe, Louisiana to compete for their share of prize money and awards!

This event will feature bulls from 1 years of age competing with a mechanical dummy all the way up to four year old bulls competing with a live rider. West Monroe is the first of two events for the Fall Yearling Series and No Bull Left Behind Futurity Series, which will conclude at the ABBI World Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada this coming October.

All of the ABBI action over the course of two days (Aug. 9-10) is FREE admission to the public. We hope that you come see the future of the bucking bull industry!

BOOKS ARE OPEN❗️

This event will be the first stop for the Fall Yearling & No Bull Left Behind Futurity Series.

Limited Futurity & NBLB Series eligibility is $10,000 in 2024 season earnings (all money) at books close for this event.

BS Cattle Co. Bang For Your Buck Yearling Bull Sale will take place Thursday evening following check in.

We will have a Cajun boil and social following the performance Friday evening.

Host Hotel information will be confirmed in the next day or so.
