About a year ago, I was on my fb and saw for the first time a picture of an event that was decorated with balloon art. I could not believe that such beautiful decoration was all made with balloons only. I have always being artistic so I had to start looking into it. To my surprise I found out that balloon decoration, to that level, has been around forever and around the world. I said to myself...
Nibelma this is something you can learn to do, so you can decorate your grandchildren birthdays. A couple of months later I went to a Business Expo in Puerto Rico and there was that balloon tree that really, really, really got me hocked on this. I remember I was with my daughter and I could not move from in front of the tree. I had to stare at the tree because seeing it on pictures was one thing, but being in front of it, and able to really observe every detail, that was another thing. My daughter had to go around the expo alone because I just couldn’t move from there. After the expo I started researching the web (thank you God for the internet) and found more about it. I started reading articles, looking at more pictures and watching tutorials. Short after I started sharing with my friends my recently found passion and the pictures of what I had recently discovered. At the time Aida, my brother in law’s wife was planning her mom’s 70th Birthday Party (lucky me) and asked me to do some balloon decoration. Are you kidding me, I was not going to pass the opportunity to venture into this exciting world. I did my fist 7’ Column and two small number columns. They were not perfect, but for the first ones they were pretty good! I had to change the column design like 3 times, but at the end we were all satisfy with the way it came out! After that day, they heard about my adventure on my church and suddenly everybody wanted me to decorate their event… The rest is history. Within a year I have decorated several Qinceañeras, Sweet Sixteen’s, Baby showers, Weddings, B-day parties and Church Congresses and Events! I want to say much more that what I would have EVER dream about it. I still have a Huge road in front of me and are really excited to continue learning and working, hopefully in your next event!
