Event Manager

We are looking for a passionate experienced Event Manager to be a part of BDS Catering and Productions. This role will be on an event by event basis with potential to turn into a continuous role. �As an Event Manager at our company, we are expecting you to be very well-organized and competent in vendor management, communication skills, good time management and attention to detail are a must!

Event Manager Responsibilities Include:
* Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
* Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
* Coordinate all event operations
* Approve all aspects before the day of the event
* Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
* Understand requirements and details of each event
* Speak with clients and coordinate with them regularly
* Hire, train and oversee personnel
* Carefully oversee event happenings
* Offer solutions to resolve problems in a timely manner
* Evaluate event’s success and submit reports

Event Manager Job Requirements:
* High School Diploma
* Proficient in MS Office or Google Suite
* Excellent vendor management skills
* Knowledge of basic recruitment practices
* Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
* Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
* Good time-management skills
* Great interpersonal and communication skills

We are looking for a passionate experienced Bar Manager to be a part of BDS Catering and Productions. This role will be on an event by event basis with potential to turn into a continuous role. �You will be expected to plan, direct and oversee all bar operations including managing staff, ensuring product and service standards are met and implementing and maintaining procedures for maximum operating efficiency.��
Bar Manager Responsibilities Include:
* Recruiting, hiring, training, supervising staff
* Overseeing scheduling of staff to ensure that the event runs smoothly during event hours
* Mix drinks, pour and serve wine, beer, and other beverages as needed
* Ensuring that industry-specific quality and safety guidelines are followed by all staff
* Ability to work in a diverse environment with both staff and clients
* Ability to communicate calmly and effectively to diffuse tense interactions that might occur to maintain a safe and fun atmosphere for both guests and staff

Bar Manager Job Requirements:
* High School Diploma
* Experience in the management of a bar or beverage service operation
* An in-depth understanding of management and accounting practices and experience utilizing them in the workplace
* Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
* Strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills
* Ability to communicate calmly and effectively to successfully defuse tense situations
* Availability to work as needed on weekends, nights, and holidays.
* Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, stressful environment
* Must have the physical ability to stand for long periods of time and to carry heavy items
