I like winter. I like snow. There’s no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing. Ya know? So I’m not going to caption this photo “Spring, where are you?” or something like that. But, everything is dead and brown and rotting, and that’s not cute, right?! So here is a cute bug hanging out in the celosia from this past summer 🐛🐞

This weekend we’ll be at the Cultures of Peoria Holiday Market with an assortment of dried flower items, fresh flower bouquets, holiday wreaths, and more! has put together an incredible event yet again! Cozy vibes, music, a full bar plus coffee and baked goods, supporting small businesses - what more could you want? I knoooow big box stores and Amazon are convenient but just stop, take a second and think, can I buy this item locally? (And this applies the rest of the year, too!) I could go on and on but the moral of the story is SHOP SMALL! ✨

Frost is coming soon and with that, the end of flowers ❄️ Stay tuned early next week for what will likely be your last chance for fresh flowers! I’ll miss them of course but I’m looking forward to winter and being able to plan for next years crops. I’ll have dried bouquets and holiday wreaths next, and maybe a few other fun dried flower goodies. Annnd info on next year’s CSA subscriptions will also be coming soon (November/December)!

Boho-y arbor for Kaylie + Dominic yesterday at Marlene's Event Barn 🌾

This was my first time using Oshun Pouches in my mechanics and they were awesome! Oshun Puches are an eco-friendly alternative to floral foam that are biodegradable/compostable, and they don’t contain any nasty chemicals like you would find in traditional floral foam. Win win!

A custom order anniversary bouquet - mostly farm grown with a little dahlia help from and some Canadian snapdragons. Cutting and arranging flowers and drinking coffee while the sun rises is one of my favorite things 🌞
